Anyone else think it's pretty stupid that the so-called "Arcade" Xbox doesn't come with a Hard Drive, only a 256 MB card that will be filled with games? (Or even if the games come on an Arcade Unplugged Vol 2, the MU will only hold about 5 arcade games or less).

Microsoft get with the times and get rid of all non-hard drive offerings, so developers can start making games assuming a hard drive will be available.

i couldn't think of 2 worse games to bundle, certainly for here in the uk anyway. i also think this sku business is getting out of hand and confusing to the consumer, and finally with the rumoured 40gb PS3 they really need to scrap the core memory card sku and all 360s should have a HDD.

Agreed xenocidic, the sooner the non-harddrive box is phased out the better. Games could be so much better if they'd allow developers to make games for harddrive only consoles. I don't see why they wouldn't want to make atleast one game for the holiday to push accessory sales and upgrades for the 360, perhaps even extra console purchases for uniformed customers. Why they don't persue that untapped profit is baffling. You better bet Nintendo would, and just look at them, have always made a profit and only increase their net profit.

By the way, bundles are icky unless it's a handheld device.

Only 2 games though? What about some of the older ones that are retailing at half the price? Like Burnout, Crackdown - they're absolute classics. None of this uber-boring forza2 or hammy crappy (as based on demo) spiderman..

Just kill off the Core completely and drop the Premie down to $299. Done.

With the hopeful end of the core this holiday season, maybe MS can put a magic date of, oh, I don't know, November 22, 2008, as the day that every game afterward no longer has to be restricted to a non-hard drive mode.

The most important question:

WILL THEY FEATURE THE FALCON 65NM CHIPS?

I don't think that Forza 2 is a bad choice to bundle. It's a good game, it actually made both the US and UK charts (if not more) and it's still in the Top 10 played Live games.

The more people play it the better, I think.

If I got Forza 2, I'd spend all my time making paint jobs, really.

Hey, I work at a Gamestop and we did receive an email a few days ago that said the Core had been discontinued by the vendor and we would no longer be receiving any.

I was unable to print out the email at the time, Gamestop has something against sending us toner, so I did not officially submit this to the site.

Furthermore, I wrote at GameStooge that the Arcade would REPLACE the Core. So RIP Core.

"I was unable to print out the email at the time, "

Well dude, print it out and send it in already. I'd love to see proof that the core is dead. You'll be doing everyone a favor in that that way MS Has to drop the Premium to $299. Do it.

I saw the "Pro" sku in a radio shack window yesterday. It said "Go Pro" in the corner just like one of the pictures leaked here.

I work for Radioshack and I can confirm that this is the truth.

Look at the side of our display boxes that say Go Pro on them.

They SAY 360 Arcade.
