If this is fake I bet it's just a Jedi Knight mod. That would look like a DS game for sure.

And who's Idea was it to not commercialize this and make millions and millions of dollars?

"Well, board we have a probable best selling game here. anyone have any ideas?"
"oh! I got one, sir! How about we DON'T publish this, lose the chance to make lots of cash, and make a crappy Hana Montana game instead?"
"My God, Johnson. You're a genius"

A1. Matt claimed that it was made by a third-party studio, under the sponsorship of "a major publisher."
A2. A third-party studio named n-Space was rumored to be working on a DS FPS, under the sponsorship of EA Game, a major publisher.

B1. The Halo DS demo appears to be running on the Goldeneye: RA DS engine, made by EA.
B2. n-Space's rumored DS FPS for EA was supposed to be running on the same engine.

C1. Matt claims that Halo DS was approved and underway, but got canceled.
C2. n-Space's rumored DS FPS for EA was approved and underway, but never appeared; as if it was canceled.

Finally, here's something to chew on: n-Space is now currently making a DS version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, for Activision. Despite the fact that they SEEM to have no experience working on a DS FPS engine or DS multiplayer, journalists say that CoD4 DS is surprisingly polished, and features single and multi-card wireless multiplayer.

Of course, if you want, you can choose to believe that a journalist with absolutely no experience making games, spent months hacking and reskinning a mediocre retail game, all for the purpose of fooling some people on the internet with a post on his personal blog.

yesss...this footage does look a little like the Goldeneye game for DS...however...i dont think someone who works for ign would go around telling millions of people a bunch of BS...keep in mind...he did say that it was a demo and that it was cancled...maybe whoever came up with this used the same engine or w.e as goldeneye to produce the demo...just image what this game may have looked like after more work...i would definateley buy it...exspecially if was as detailed as metriod hunters or w/e...my lil brother bought that game like the day after he bought his DS and i was stunned by how easy going and detailed the game was...i think HAlO DS would be great idea for hanheld version of halo...better the HALO PSP b/c i think it would be much easy to control with the DS. But hey thats my opinion...does any1 know how you can get you hands on this "demo" or w/e it is?

*calls BS*

Sorry guys, but as much as I want to believe this, it's definetly fake. Yes, they do have a working game on the DS that looks like a development version of Halo DS. No, it isn't actually Halo DS. See image;

It's obviously just a clever Goldeneye DS reskin. Note the exact size and positioning of the radars, weapon HUDS, guns in first person, the score, and the targeting reticle. Hell, they didn't even change the font used for the score and time readouts!

So, I call BS. Instant win.

*sorry about the double post*

Apparently everyone here already knows this is a GE:RA DS mod, so sorry for restating the blatantly obvious. ^^; I didn't look at the posts first, this comment was originally written on the IGN article and pasted over, nobody there seemed to have realized yet..
