I'm gettin' dis
sheppy2.0 @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:00AM
Okay... so we finally get a Disturbed song and it's Stricken... well at least it has a "wha-ah-ah-ow" in there.
Also, Blue Oyster Cult returns but NOT as Don't Fear The Reaper. C'mon Activision, quit cockteasing. Baby take my hand. And we'll be able to fly.
[.sm0ke.] @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:54AM
If I recall correctly, Don't Fear the Reaper is in Rock Band.
What do you have against Stricken?
Monthenor @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:32AM
Have you heard "Cities on Flame..."? I'll take that guitar part over Don't Fear the Reaper. It just rocks harder, I think it was a good choice.
sheppy2.0 @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:01AM
Also, out of curiousity, wasn't Devil went down to Georgia a fiddling song?
jsn @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:43AM
yes, but it's not a stretch to play it on guitar. I think it's a genius move to put in a song like that. It's a great change of pace, it's a very catchy tune and it will be difficult.
kip @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:57AM
It'll be great for two players as well.. one gets to be the devil one gets to be.. whoever the kid was.
pasht @ Oct 3rd 2007 10:45AM
The boy said my name's Johnny and it might be a sin!
dsub @ Oct 3rd 2007 1:59PM
it's not much of a stretch. Less Talk More Rokk is like 100% keybard/synthesizer and they put it in GHII.
phattie @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:05AM
Thats a long list.
kip @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:58AM
That's what she said.
JodyAnthony (FDF - Hedonism Bot) @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:07AM
holy shit, I want it just for Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Mojo @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:08AM
Yeah, man. That's a whole lotta guitarin'
So grab yourself a cooler and lay yourself low.
EvilEngel @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:09AM
...waiting for stairway....
Mike W @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:15AM
You know, I don't understand why so many people want Stairway in Guitar Hero. Have you heard the song? It wouldn't even be that difficult to play, let alone fun. There's so many better LZ songs they could pick so please stop asking for stairway! >_
jsn @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:02AM
I don't understand how you can't understand why people would want the most popular song by one of the most popular rock bands ever in the game..
Rubang B (NDF - Heart) @ Oct 3rd 2007 5:44PM
Because the song SUCKS.
There, I said it.
Have at me.
GaryM @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:15AM
Does "as made famous by" mean that version of the game's song is a cover?
JodyAnthony (FDF - Hedonism Bot) @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:34AM
I wish it was the Primus version
jsn @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:45AM
yes.
blooh (CDF - Ass Ring) @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:59AM
yeah the primus version rules
but so does the original :)
arrakisman @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:17AM
Just think of the sales on replacement guitars that will be made after that Dragon Force song.
Jim Halpert DM @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:46AM
Upz, you give the idiots too much credit. If you read these comments, you can tell that some think that this is a real review. I'm sorry, some people just don't know what a footnote is. It's dissapointing I know, but contrary to popular belief there are people who have never opened a book.
Jim Halpert DM @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:48AM
Ops, ignore. Stupid fingerprint scanner.
tmacairjordan87 @ Oct 3rd 2007 3:12PM
if you saw the leaked song list on xbox360 fanboy then all of these should look familiar
Rob Accomando @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:59AM
Amazing. Hurry up Oct. 28th!!!!
My Wallet screams in agony as the holiday game releases start.
Matt B @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:09AM
I'd really like to see how you are expected to pull off Cliffs of Dover!!!!
AirIntake @ Oct 3rd 2007 10:04AM
Most of Cliffs of Dover wouldn't be that hard. For the rest, star power!
dsub @ Oct 3rd 2007 1:37PM
the real question is how are we expected to pull of Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce. It makes Cliffs of Dover look like Child's Play.
Saften @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:46AM
Woohoo, Slipknot, and with one of the two songs I like by them. Good fecking thing that controller is wireless.
My Xbox would be teared to shreds if it was wired.
See y'all in the f****** pit.
Oh, and +1 to the comment on it should be the Primus version of Devil Went Down to Georgia.
JediMogg @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:39AM
Its a solid line up and there are a ton of songs, but i still think I like the Rock Band set list better.
I hope they finally get their act together with the dlc. GHII waa a huge disappointment in term of dlc.
pasht @ Oct 3rd 2007 10:48AM
I like both setlists an awful lot, and the talk MTV is spewing about "thousands" of DLC songs for RB makes me giddy. If they even manage 10% of that promise, I'll be ecstatic. Hell, I'm happy enough from having *two* games this quarter to use my gee-tar controller on.
cosmic @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:51AM
Dude, it has Dragonforce. NUFF SAID
NukeAssault @ Oct 3rd 2007 9:55AM
Im raping my bank so hard this year. XD
OrganicShadow @ Oct 3rd 2007 1:38PM
Soooooooooooo many crappy popular shit music im going to have to force a friend to play for me(if it's required to move forward), as my ears will bleed profusely and my already oh-so-small testiclites will shrink a bit if im forced to not only listen to, but play along to:
the killers
disturbed(these clowns are still around? "zoy" right?)
aerosmith
matchbook romance
afi
metallica
the strokes
kiss....wait, you know what? i would rather have to play a different kiss song in place of all this other shit. i don't like kiss, but i don't hate them. so maybe i'll become a tech wizard and hack my PS3 so i can play something else besides these shit songs.
and before i put my flameshield up, just remember that just because it's "popular" and on the radio/mtv doesn't make it good. if anyone here actually plays guitar(well) i think you would agree that these games have given up on choosing songs with good guitar playing in them. instead they just choose what people want to HEAR but not necessarily PLAY.
tmacairjordan87 @ Oct 3rd 2007 3:19PM
so wait, metallica can't play good guitar? what kinda illegal drugs do you have? i want some please
Hafk @ Oct 3rd 2007 10:37PM
Never judge a song before you play it.
I love playing Dead, but I really hate My Chemical Romance.
Tuatara @ Oct 3rd 2007 10:57AM
HOLY FUCK STEVIE RAY MADE IT IN!!! THERE IS A GOD, AND HE LOVES THE BLUES.
Santo @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:24AM
Holy shit, The Devil Went Down to Georgia. The Rock Band vs Guitar Hero question has been answered. Long live Charlie Daniels. It'd better be a decent cover.
me_inside @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:31AM
I want Walls of Jericho!!!!!! Candace is the queen of hardcore!!!!!!!!!!!!
CanesTim @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:32AM
I will still probably get GH3 and pick up just the disc for GH2 but now I am starting to really get into what Rock Band is linning up. I don't know. Competition is good though!
bill51 @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:34AM
Wow, the majority of the new songs "announced" are terrible. The already announced songs has enough awesomeness to warrant a buy from me ... but these new ones are terrible choices.
Sean @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:34AM
Sunshine of Your Love is an excellent song.
Brandon Johnson @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:41AM
Wow that leaked list may of had some truth to it.
Chris @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:48AM
Oooooh Matchbook Romance!!!! There are so many good songs in GH3. I can't wait!
Raikage (NDF - PK THUNDER RING) @ Oct 3rd 2007 1:15PM

Hashbrown_Hunter @ Oct 3rd 2007 8:53PM
I LOVED Monsters. Imagine playing that song in GH3! drooool....
octoberasian @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:58AM
