you misunderstood it. or do you think grandparents are the core player base of the NES? the Wii just happens to be the "youngest" console, just like the NES is one of the oldest

The Playstation table is the smallest one here.

There I said it.

Of course the Wii table could hold the grandparents and the kids. "Wii would like to sit down".

Uh,the tables are named after consoles not companies.

The atari 5600 table was outside...near the garbage cans.

Awww. I would love to have a video game themed wedding, but it would only seem appropriate if there were enough game-savvy guests attending. I'm basically the only gamer in the family... :\

Why is the water level above the OVERWORLD? It should be water at the bottom, underworld, then overworld, with the ? on top! I will consider this couple unmarried until I see a REAL cake.

Really? Because a traditional wedding is _always_ better, even if you want something else? Sheesh. You do your wedding your way, saying someone else's is sad is a little ignorant.

right, but at the same time, the last thing he probably wants is a wedding with a theme reflecting his work. Blizzard is the guy's work. The rest is hobby...

"100% ok" means "I hated it, but I had to accept it" in womanspeak.

I love games and my girlfriend does as well, but I can't imagine ever doing anything as childish as this. Wasted money and resources doing something most of the guests will think is tacky and in 20 years you will regret.

Yeah, but this is this guy's livelihood. You(guessing)and I are simply gamers for fun. This man works on games for a living. His guests probably enjoyed it. Also, why would he regret it in 20 years? Do you have any idea how cool their kids will think this is?

I too work as a game designer and I know I'd laugh at my parents if they had a theme wedding, and I certainly hope my future children would do the same. Hell, I'd give any friend a lot of crap if they wanted to do this.

It's like those folks who get video-game related tattoos (or most tattoos, for that matter) to celebrate something they probably won't care about in ten years time.

At my wedding, I was able to sneak in a couple video game songs played by our piano player during cocktail hour. I had to prepare the sheet music for him weeks ahead of time (thanks MIDIs and MIDI-to-sheet-music converters!), and had to go through some dissappointments (you mean there's NOT an easy Mega Man song for one person with TWO hands to do?). All in all, it was great - I got the Animal Crossing theme and the Legend of Zelda title screen song. Suave enough that the older crowd didn't wonder what that racket was, and recognizable enough for all of the younger crowd to give me the thumbs up as it played.

Thank you for your time.

This one or the console-stacked one. It's non-negotiable, husband-to-be will have to deal with it.
