Huxley scored by Gears of War composer

According to imdb Kevin Riepl also worked on Shrek 2, UT2003, Unreal Championship, Dead 2 Rights and Twisted Metal: Black.

I hate being such a negative Nelly... but I can't remember the music to any of those. Not to say they had bad scores, just nothing I could pick up on and identify if I was playing "name that tune." Kinda like the music from the King Kong remake, or the new Spider-Man theme.

Yeah, the only Gears of War music I can think of is the Mad World song... and most other people I know would call it "that song from Donnie Darko."

I love this guy's music for his Epic Games games. A lot of people say they didn't pay attention to the music in Gears. I did, and man, the main theme is epic-sounding.

you guys seriously cant remember the Gears music? it was very haunting beautiful and tense. at times it sounded alot like Predator. cool stuff.

@9. Agreed, while it may not be memerable in the sense that you could sing it back it was similar to halo:ce i.e. if it wasnt there you would have never felt a part of the game's story...

Honestly I clicked the link to this article to comment on my lack of memory of any music in Gears of War. Clearly it wasn't very memorable. I guess this is good news for that guy who scored the game?

Halo's score was memorable, any Mario game is memorable, Zelda's score was memorable. I dunno hopefully he can pull it off this time?

Also, what the fuck at #2, a negative Nelly? Never heard that version of a negative Nancy, so much better with Nancy I say, funnier too.

How can you not remember the Gears score, it plays every time the disc goes into the drive. I think its a brilliant score and truly made for a better game

@15, I was thinking about Nelly Furtado's butt in lowrider jeans at the time. Now there's an ass that knows how to make an impression. If only Kevin Riepl could somehow learn something about making memorable music by studying butt cheeks. Hmmm...

Well sorry MDJ2010, I loved Gears, and I love a great score. Music sometimes makes the game (see: Halo), but I can't remember the Gears score, musta been only so-so. Katamari is another great one, haha.

At #15, had I known that woman by name I'd probably have my thoughs all jumbled as well. She is attractive, tomorrow I'll probably remember her curves more than anything by Kevin Riepl.

Also I can't remember music in Unreal 2003/2004 and those two games are among my favorite PC FPS of all time, well for multiplayer atleast.

The Japanese are alot better (it seems) at scoring games than their American and European peers. The score of Gears was nice and all, but it doesn't compare with the sheer diversity of the music from something like Katamari or *Pick a Final Fantasy*.

I was excited for Huxley, until I read poor early reviews. Now I'm alot more excited for Hellgate London than I am for Huxley.

Unlike a Katamari game, where the score is half the fun, I could care less what music they play in Huxley. It's on the 360, so I'll be doing custom soundtracks anyway (Thanks alot Bungie, for ruining that for me on Halo 3)
