The problems with Tales of Symphonia:
1. Terrible localization.
2. Akwared cut scenes. During the cut scenes there were akward pauses between characters speaking, something that's just plane unacceptable when you can't skip a cut scene. Take a lessong from MGS and make it snappy.
3. Stupid story line. But that would be acceptable if problems 1 and 2 were fixed.
I love the Tales games, especially the multiplayer aspect. I was an early adopter for Symphonia, but I will never do that again. If they can fix the horrible cut scenes and keep that awesome fighting system, I'm completely on board.

I'm more interested in that scene where they showed Lloyd. Love Tales of Symphonia, and those problems listed weren't even that major. Loved the story, localization was pretty good, and I do know what they were talking about with the cut scenes (hard not to notice) but once again, not that bad. I will get this game.

I seriously can`t wait for this one. I honestly loved Tales of Symphonia - the only Tales I felt compelled to play through a second time.
I can`t comment on the problems cited, as I played the original Japanese version. Obviously no problems with localization, and I get the feeling that awkward pauses in cut scenes may have had something to do with the difference in length between Japanese an English.
Loved the story, although it did start out a bit stupidly. By the end it was great in my opinion.
I will definitely be reserving this the second I can.

Tales of Symphonia was about the most fun RPG I've ever played. Looking forward to this!

Personally, TOS was my favourite Gamecube game. A lot of people seem to think the voice acting wasn't very good, but I thought it was a lot better than most dubbed films.
What I don't understand is why the title at the end of the vid showed the words "Tales of Symphonia", where'd this 'Shakonia' come from?
Oh, and Lloyd's in it. I'm betting it will continue from the ending with Collette (you know, there's that cutscene where the person who liked you most decides to do something).. Oh and he's probably evil as well. :p

i had to stop playing tales of symphonia after about an hour because the lack of sound effects made me nauseous.

Cant comment on the problems listed,I personally had no problem with the game.
I am PSYCHED for this, and I really hope a few more original characters will return (Zelos,Kratos & Shena mostly.)
I did see a part where the male character was running inside the school, I hope the hole Collette left is still there (Y) this could also indicate 1)Raine is still teaching or 2)Genis is now the teacher.
I honestly cant wait.. 2008 wont get here fast enough.

Also-Is that Collette's house burning? I sort of see the porch when I watch closely. Anyone else see it?

@Vatti
I do not see the porch. If it is Collete's house, then this game may be more awesome then I originally thought. Yeah...I didn't like Collete. Personally, choose Lloyd and Sheena since they ended up pretty good, more so then with each other's alternate pairings.
Anywho, it looks like you can fight with monsters on your side. Somewhat intrigues me.
