Apparently it uses the "new" rules of tetris where you can infinitely rotate a piece once it hits the bottom.

I gave this a shot, I really didn't care for what was present in the demo. It's such a basic version of Tetris that I just don't get why it should cost 800 points... particularly when most of the interesting background stuff is DLC.

I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of features, the simplisitc play modes, and the microtransaction bent this game is already on.

In short, Tetris DS blows this out of the water (pun intended) and after playing TDS, it's hard to find a better Tetris. Even for $10, Splash disappoints me.
