The Mummy 3 cribbing from Resident Evil 4?

Now this is probably a complete coincidence, but reader Linh noticed something that was too fun to pass up. Check out this new still of Brendan Fraser from the upcoming Mummy film, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Remind you of anyone you know? Say ... Leon Kennedy of Resident Evil fame?

We know, we know, it's a stretch. And, yes, it's almost certainly the product of happenstance. That said ... finglerless gloves? Really?

Wow, and to be honest, Brendan looks exactly like Leon on that picture, in each and every way, including the hair... well, maybe not in the face, but he got me for a moment.

Yeah, they do. I remember I had a pair of those, and they are pretty comfy to wear, especially when riding a bike of any type. Unfortunately I lost them on a trip to Tijuana...

Though I've never seen Eragon, I know it as fact that the movie was god-awful, but imdb says that she was only a voice, so she can only be penalized so much. And Constantine is probably a better movie than Mummy 3 will be.

To be fair, that style of bomber jacket is hardly unheard of. And Brendan Frasier's hair has looked like that in multiple movies before. I bet you can find shots of him in the first two Mummy movies where he'd look like Leon if he wore that jacket and the fingerless gloves.

Still, I can't answer why Leon wore those gloves, myself.
