heres the description for that Filter:

Maximize your Halo 3 visual experience using this special filter and the Video Calibration utility that is included on “Essentials Disc One” in the Limited or Legendary edition of the game. The bonus disc materials will guide you through the proper calibration of your monitor and the use of this filter. This item is only useful for customers who own the Halo 3 Limited or Legendary edition of the game. The Halo 3 video filter is free of charge with any purchase at the Bungie Store while supplies last. Limit 1 per person.

Style Number: Video Calibration Filter

so apparently this is no good to you if you own the plain ol Vanilla Halo 3...?

It will be no good because you need to calibrate it with some of the special features on those discs.

If you own the standard edition, you obviously don't care about the game enough to calibrate its picture. Pretty simple logic.

$9 shipping for a thin piece of cardboard with a piece of plastic in it? What the hell?

you actually need to wear the filter over your eyes, to avoid permanent complications caused by the light blooming effects.

this was clearly meant to ship with the games but got held up by some sort of production issue.

and now instead of taking a hit distributing them, they're gonna sell it.
i guess halo 3 isn't bringing in the mad bank they expected? or are they just nickel and diming us for the hell of it.

They are seriously charging shipping on something they were supposed to have included with an already purchased game?

Shouldn't they be trying to save face for messing up and not gouging people?

I hope you aren't serious or this is some backwards ass sarcasm.

Anyone who gives a shit about HD games (or 'fake' ones in this case)should have calibrated their tv/monitor the minute they bought it.

If you are playing on a HDTV straight out the box, you need to calibrate your head.
