You didn't, but lets say that despite your better judgment, you bought Tetris ... again. If you're looking for way to compliment your $10 bucks spent on Tetris Splash this week on XBLA, perhaps you'd like to throw some good money after bad and pick up one of the fourteen pieces of DLC that became available for the game yesterday.
That's right, 14 additional chunks of the game like the "Butterflyfish Bundle" and the "Angelfish Bundle" with price tags ranging from 50 to 150 points dropped on the same day as the game. It's bad enough that DLC this close to a game's release translates to just trying to bleed more cash out of players. But it's especially bad in this case when you consider that ... you know ... they didn't even have to design a game.

Thanks Norm, and ew, I hate infinite spins and hold pieces. I wish you could turn them off.

Oh, you can turn off the hold queue, if you don't mind playing for a bit. I think that's the feature that unlocks when you get nine achievements.
Hey, it's not as bad as playing Bejeweled 2 for 10 years, but it's up there.

Add my name to the list of people who intended on buying this game but when I saw the bullshit on the DLC I reconsidered and broke out my DS to play some tetris. Fuk you very much micro$oft.

I'm not sure if this beats out Lumines for DLC that should be in the game though; I'm still confused how unlocking the full game resulted in me still having to buy additional "modes" that should be, well, in the full game. Almost get this feeling of "well, I already spent this much, I should go ahead and spend a little more to get it all..."
On the other hand, this version of Tetris, and all the "extras" just plain suck, so it sort of sways the argument.

I bought this, and because I wound up w/ 200 MS points remaining, I picked up a couple of extra 'fish' DLCs. Who fucking cares? I was seriously, and I do mean seriously, pissed when I bought Lumines Live, but this is an entirely different subject. The DLC are akin to themes and/or gamerpics, useful only for having more and different fish in your tank. If you don't care, don't buy them. I only did b/c I don't buy alot of games w/ MS points so I figured they'd sit there for 6 months if I didn't blow them. The game is not gimped in any way, so get over it, they're just options. Otherwise, its a very nice iteration of Tetris for $10. Kind of hard to beat.

In all honesty, I'm probably going to buy a bunch of fish and shit for my Tetris game. The way I see it, I'm going to be spending a lot of time with this game, and the option to customise it for a few extra bucks is a comforting thought for me.
