Today's luckiest video: Halo 3 grenade throw

This freak plasma grenade toss by BlackShadowMist earns our nod as the luckiest Halo 3 throw ever. What starts out as a Hail Mary miss turns into a Rube Goldberg-style success. Are you saving amazing clips from the game?

Nice! I love the save film feature.

if you look at the end just before it sticks the guy it like shifts like a foot or 2 to the right.
thats kinda of odd, i've never seen the stickies have any sort of magnetism before.

actually, the red player has a hammer on his back, the grenade stuck to him there. Gotta love it.

Luck isn't real. It just happened to work out that way, just like everything else.

Ummm... "luck" is just a term that decribes an unplanned situation that works out exceptionally well or ill for someone. Sure, some people think "luck" is an almost magical like force, but the term still applies to situations like this. It wasn't planned, it was luck.

Lucky yes, but there is a knack to throwing stuff into grav lifts. You can use the diagonal ones as artillery.

That dude that got stuck with that grenade is like an opposing center getting schooled in a Michael Jordan poster.

Someone out there is learning to live with it: "Yeah, that was me..."

I've been watching many superbly edited Quake 3 videos for a long time now so I can't say I'm impressed, but Bungie deserves credit for finally making the replay function available to a console FPS.

You sound like you could use a hug. C'mon now, you gotta say that was funny.

My favorite has still gotta be the one on bungie.net where a guy shoots a dude in the head, the bullet richochet's off of two walls, and caps another guy in the head.

I love how Bungie made Halo 3 with absolutely superb physics. With that in place, all kinds of crazy shit can happen.

And you sound like a Halo fanboy who hasn't seen many frags/tricks vids from other games.

In terms of crazy lucky throws I have to say the one in my file share is almost just as good.... blind throw going off the mancannon for a double kill. This one is just so badass because it got caught in the lift XD

there have been times where i would stick someone from the other side of area, its not more skill than guessing and hoping for the best really lol.

nice one.. seems grenades for me have a shorter fuse than that though.

The fuse doesn't start until the grenade hits something. The dude is the first thing it hits.

Ha ha ha! Bungie seriously oughta give out some sort of award for this kind of thing--although I suppose internet-wide recognition might suffice.

Needs yakity sax or the incredible machine theme.

That was impressive I'm going to try it now,I actually good at luck throws once in gears I pwned the other team by blindly throwing a grenade.

That red guy must have been totally perplexed. HILARIOUS
