Uncharted developer discusses PSN demo, HD support
Wells stated that they're working on a demo for the PlayStation Network, and it "will be up before [its] release date." After treading the waters, he addressed letters – consonants and vowels – in a Sesame Street fashion, specifically I, P, and HDTV. The game supports 720p, and after many people requested via the comments for 1080 support, Wells filled the community in: 1080i won't a problem, 1080p will be scaled from 1080i via software. Now you can experience the game as it was meant to be, according to Wells, "in glorious high definition." Yay?

It looks nothing like GoW beyond being in 3rd person and having a cover system. Does having a cover system automatically make a game a GoW clone? To me it looks more like Tomb Raider with a cover system and more shooting. In either case, I don't see why anyone would think it looks "crappy" unless they just don't care for Tomb Raider type games.

I didn't know the PS3 already had an awesome exclusive. Sigma if you count that. Resistance and Motorstorm were good, but I don't think you can classify them as awesome.
Or are you counting unreleased games?
Uncharted just looks like a poor man's Gears with some Tomb Raider splashed in. The game looks fun, but I think it will be a day late and a dollar short of awesome.

This games seems to be forced down our throats now that Lair and Heavenly Sword were crap. All you hear about is "By the developers of Jak and Daxter", like that is some great proclamation.
I mean the games are liked, but they aren't THAT big. I can't blame Sony for trying to sell it, of course they need it to be successful, but the gaming press is just setting us up for another let down.

Morganfell I would forced down our throats is a little harsh but so is your response. Halo 3 was promoted the way it was because it has a track record from Halo and especially from Halo 3. This game is being trumped up as one of Sony's big holiday games when really all we know about it is the previews have been mediocre and it was done by Naughty Dog. The parallels are there to compare them to Lair and Heavenly Sword. And if you don't like popular products being marketed to death then you better kill yourself because everybody big movie is marketed in exactly the same way so keep your bitterness to yourself.

Meh... I really hope Galaxy is fun. Sunshine was so freaking boring. But after this latest batch of videos I'm starting to lose interest. See, for example, the video that show the player navigating Mario around by point at and "grabbing" stars with the Wiimote just looks tedious and boring. I hope the game doesn't have too much nonsense like that.

1080p is the biggest technology marketing gimmick I've ever seen from Sony. They invented the term to one-up the 360, but outside of Blu-Ray movies, nothing can generate true 1080p. It's just way beyond the capacity of the 360 or PS3 GPU.

My PC does better than 1080p. There are plenty of lesser downloadable games that run at 1080p.
I'm sure by the end of the PS3 cycle we will be seeing all games (except the movie tie ins) running at 1080p.

I don't think it's native, and the frame rate issues aren't worth it anyway.
And yeah games like Virtua Tennis 3 are in 1080p because you know, there is 2 moving characters, the rest is just a pretty looking background.

While the NBA series from Sony's internal studios isn't turning heads it DOES have the ability to broadcast 1080p at 60fps.
People, people...get your facts straight before talking down on another system. My guess is that more and more Sony games will start touting their HD goodness (Killzone 2 will broadcast at 720p and the upcoming Gran Turismo will support 1080p) now that Halo 3 is showing its true non-HD colors.

Between the killer reviews coming out now for Folklore, along with Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Sigma, Warhawk, out and on my shelf already and Ratchet and Uncharted to be added soon I've got enough on my PS3 to keep me entertained through the holidays especially when I add in the games I've got on Wii and 360.
It's just still sad to see people like Fernando who are stuck to only one stystem... oh well I can't waste time feeling sorry for "consolers" and "fanbitches" when I've got as much gaming to catch up on as I do, bottom line: it's a great time to be a gamer and not a consoler.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma
And then theres the ones you cant finish but I would like to play more like:
Quake Wars
Warhawk
I wish they could release games not all around christmas time, I feel bad of putting some games on the backburner to finish others.
I just Finished Blue Dragon last night, it couldn't even pony up for a game completed achievement. I hate the achievments in Blue Dragon, I played that game for 45 hours and all I got was 25 of 1000 points. Seems like they want you to play it without completing it for hundreds of hours.
Weaksauce...I don't care if the achievment if worth 0 points at least give me a medal for finishing the game.
