We never learned how to play Shanghai, despite having countless opportunities to play it on consoles. We've played it before, but those sessions mostly consisted of messing around with the tiles for thirty seconds and not getting it. Wii players will soon have the opportunity not to know what's going on, because Success is working on a Wii version of the mah-jongg game. It'll feature four player modes for both time- and score-based competitions.
Most importantly, you'll be able to pick up the little tiles with the Wiimote. Is that idea strangely appealing to anyone else? We're simple folks.

Hopefully it will be like the Clubhouse Games version, that lights up the tiles that you can pick up :)

You're kidding right?
1. Shanghai/Mah-Jong Solitaire is super easy to play. Match tiles that have an exposed face. Tough.
2. You don't lift anything in Shanghai Solitaire. It's just matching.
3. Shanghai Solitaire is not multiplayer. Hence, "solitaire".
4. What IS confusing, involves lifting, and multiplayer is Mah-jong. Not Shanghai. You do not call it Shanghai. Ever.
5. Obviously you have something mixed up.

I like Shanghai/Mah-Jong. I have it for my gameboy and on my PC. As much as I like it, I don't think I will get it for the Wii.

Another title that would be more suitable being sold through the Shop Channel for 10-15$. (See: Kororinpa, Super Fruitfall and the likes).
Love the game though.
