The introduction of the Forge to Halo 3 has set the stage for some very interesting game types and play variations, but there is one aspect of the level editor that we haven't seen much of yet: film making. Sure, anyone can stack some fusion coils and record some epic Mongoose launches (we did), but making something truly creative takes some effort. Case in point, this video of Super Mario Bros. done Halo style. Add some sound effects, graphics, and the oh-so-recognizable soundtrack, and you've got a decent video. Check it out above.
Now, before you leave, we like to issue a call for more interesting Halo 3 clips. Sure, we like awesome grenade sticks, but we'd really like to see some creative utilizations of Forge. Rube Goldberg machines, dominos, whack-a-Spartan: that's what we want to see. Get crackin' fanboys.
This in my opinion is the most creative and cool thing in halo 3 yet and if you liked the video from along time ago where that kid made a huge maze/puzzle like contraption to turn on his 360 YOU WILL LIKE THIS
i need help making it bugger but i have a video of the finale.
Please comment on bnet and make it big if you think its a unique and cool as i do !! thanks
Why can't Joystiq and X3F boycott Gamevideos until they get that horrible player of theirs working with Opera? Seriously, this day and age and you don't support everything under the sun? Shameful.
that video was greatness. shows how bungie had things like this in mind when they made the game. forge rocks, skull hunting kicks ass and the game video saving is greatness. having felt indifferent at first, I'm noticing things that make halo 3 a great game. GOTY!
But I know we'll see some VERY creative shit coming up soon...
I have a Forge challenge for everyone... Try this...
See if you can get the Elephant on top of the pillars in Sandtrap...
That's right... I said the ELEPHANT on top of the PILLARS !! The highest point on the map !!
My friend and I came close quite a few times but just barely couldn't pull it off... If you can do that, take a picture of it and then send me the link... You are the greatest...
I might even mail you a plaque with your name on it that says... "The Greatest"... Seriously lol
I have made a couple rube goldberg machines, trying to get some comments so please tell me what you think, i have done 2 but the first was just one to see if i could get somethign to work, the link is to one that i spent a good bit of time perfecting, although it isnt perfect because halo physics are so tricky.
I'm sorry if you can't view gamevideos.com on your Wii. But opera's user base is so minuscule in comparison to IE, Firefox or even Safari, that it's not worth it to code for that browser.
Anyone know how I could create a flame-grenade only gametype? I've tried but couldnt get it to work. Would totally complete the Mario Bros feel! Fireball to the face FTW.
