We had told you previously about The Subspace Emissary, the Super Smash Bros. Brawl new single-player adventure, a recipient of the 2007 "Game Mode that Sounds Most Like A David Bowie Album Title" award. Now, it seems that subspace is not quite as lonely as we thought, as the game's official blog has revealed that The Subspace Emissary will feature co-op play.
It's structured for one player to be lead and for another to be his wingman, his Goose, if you will. The Don Quixote of the duo will lead the movement, and Sancho Panza will have to stay in the boss' screen. There are a few other details about TSE there too, so if you're interested, it's well worth a read.
Every time Justin McElroy sneaks in a Bowie reference, an angel gets its wings. And I get a boner. Or is it every time an angel gets its wings I get a boner? I forget.
:::queues up 19 hours 29 minutes and 29 seconds long playlist of 26 Bowie albums, passes out:::
I saw the update, thought about it, and I think I just came up with the best team possible:
Player one: Zelda/Samus/Ne...er, Lucas Player two: Bowser
Why? Well, Bowser could easily tank, and the other character has good long range abilities. If player one is the only one that really needs to survive, than it's safe to assume that player two would be better used as an enemy magnet.
I really like this update, as it opens the doors to "Who would work well together?"
