haha, nope. Just carried one around thinking it was food. Eventually I got there and moved him aside.

I remember this so well! It was the first time I got really, really stuck in a video game and it took me about a week to figure it out. I remember running up to my dad and yelling, "HE'S HUNGRY!" My dad was also playing and also stuck. We were so excited to have figured it out.

I think those little memories are why the original still claims the top spot for me.

yeah i have, its one of the best ways to bomb enemys if your trying to complete the game with out using the sword. you had to use game genie for this to start out with money.

I used it a couple of times to see how it worked. And I think I used it in a dungeon for its intended purpose because I was low on hearts and didn't want to die. And on a completely different note, I still say Zelda 2 is the hardest Zelda game to date.

I beat Zelda for the first time recently (I swear the game's only hard because of lack of Diagonal movement...) and no, I can't say I ever used the food as a bait.

Having to leave that dungeon JUST to get that food is a real piss-take though, I can't think of any other Zelda games that did that.
