Nah, Cole Train should be played by the guy that voiced him because he also played Terry Tate, The Office Linebacker, in those Reebok commercials.

IGN reports that New Line is considering the can for the movie. Balooning budget is their reason.

A movie shot entirely on green screen is hardly exclusive to 300, or even that interesting, to me anyway. Hell, even Sky Captain did that.

Not a big fan of green-screen shot movies. They always seem a touch blurry and oddly claustrophobic. Just too 'processed'. They'll probably get a lot better - but it's like when the 80s got a hard on for video effects.

Green screen shooting is dangerous. Without a damned good director, the movie ends up horrible. See the three Star Wars prequels for an example of bad directing in front of a green screen. Those movies didn't have bad actors, it is just hard to get into the character when there isn't anything to reference.

It'll need some good directing, acting, and writing to get this to work.

But if it works, it'll be awesome.

I think there will plenty of movies that will be trying to be 300 in the future, in more ways then one.

Marcus Fenix - Gilbert Gottfried
Dom - The guy who played Leonidas in 300
Baird - Zach Braff
Cole Train - Eddie Murphy

Best movie ever.

Leonidas' name is Gerard Butler, and is a freakin' amazing actor that doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Go and watch a movie called Dear Frankie.

Eddie murphy and zack braff?

Both very funny and great actors, but c'mon? they're small guys.

they would look ridiculous.

I've said it before, but there is no excuse why they can't use Cole's voice actor Lester "Mighty Rasta" Speight aka Terrible Terry Tate: Office Line backer

I mean the first 40 seconds are proof enough..

I would love to see a Gears Of War movie. As long as they don't drastically change the storyline like some other videogame movies do. Heres to hopin it turns out GREAT!

Gears had a storyline? I played through it for the first time recently and by the end I really had only a vague idea what happened ;p If this dude can make it coherent though, then by all means he should give it a shot

He's talented, but can he make something of quality out of the most cliched and uninspired stories to be seen in a major game in years. I'd like a Getaway film, though.

So Halo isn't getting a movie, but Gears of War, a game with much less mainstream appeal/recognition and a crappy generic story, is? Makes a lot of sense...

Following the $80-odd million in 24-hours thing, I have a feeling there may be some renewed interest in a Halo film.

OMG are you kidding me, the story sucked, made no sense, didnt tie together at all. Halo deserves to be movie, its epic. Also Resistance fall of man should get its own movie, the story line on that one was alot better than GEARS OF WAR. ( but what i really want is a GOD OF WAR movie).
