If there's one thing we'll say about this video for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, it looks like reloading with the Wii Zapper is going to be a big pain in the rear end. Still, we're excited to play the game and can't wait to have a new title in the Resident Evil franchise to play. If you're one who doesn't mind seeing a large portion of gameplay before the title's release, then hit up the link below to check out some footage.

A pain in the rear? Moving your arm a little? I don't understand. It seems like you just flick the zapper to the side, isn't that right? I mean: maybe I'm missing something.

I have been a fan of Resident Evil ever since part 2. I have to say that this game is not the Resident Evil that I have grown to love. This looks more like House of the Dead with Resident Evil locations. Even the zombies don't look as though they come from the world of Resident Evil. I have nothing against on rail shooters but RE has always been about exploring the areas and solving the mystery behind the story not everything being laid out on a set path. I'll give this game a rent since it does have the Resident Evil name on it but I doubt I will feel like I am playing a RE game.

I noticed one thing that may nag me when I play this... What's up with the head shots? When you play RE, one of the cool things is the head shot and how it's an easy kill or a major mistake (in RE4, especially!). It just seemed insane to have the zombies take hits in the head as easily as they did in the gut.
Also, the dude playing should have realized, hit a shoulder or limb to spin them and "pause" their forward momentum! Yikes!

Yeah I also noticed that the normal Resident Evil physics when a zombie gets shot was missing. This game looks more like it was quickly put together so they could have sales with the release of the new movie.

Does anyone know if you reload by making a quick movement with the zapper or by shooting off screen real quick (like arcade light-gun games). It is hard to tell by videos.

I believe the headshot discrepancy is, according to IGN, because they made it a lot harder to score that critical hit, so you have to hit the right part of the cranium to get it

Yeah, they said it isn't just the Zombies head, but the 'right part of the head,' that will deal the most damage. That should make it more fun for you hardcore gamers rather than less fun.
