Joyswag: Win a brand-new Darth Vader PSP-2000 (Day 1)
Don't be afraid to admit it: you want the new PSP-2000. With its slimmer figure, lighter weight, TV-Out functionality, and faster load times, it's a remarkable improvement over the PSP Phat. But, haven't been able to snatch a system for yourself? Don't worry -- we got you covered. Along with our friends at PSP Fanboy and PS3 Fanboy, we're giving away one of five brand-new limited-edition Darth Vader PSP-2000 systems each day this week. These Ceramic White systems feature Darth Vader's menacing profile on the back, and are a must-have for the dedicated Star Wars nerdcore. Not only that, the package includes the brand new PSP-exclusive Star Wars Battlefront game.
So, how do you enter? First, find out what the PSP Fanboy team thinks about Star Wars Battlefront (Andrew, Jem, Nick, and Colin) and then write down one thing you learned from their previews and leave it in our comments section, as well as on the corresponding giveaway posts at PSP Fanboy and PS3 Fanboy. We'll select one comment from all three sites at random tomorrow morning before we giveaway another PSP-2000
Of course, there are rules. You must be a US resident, 18 years or older. Limit 1 entry per person per site ... or else (that means three entries spread out, no more)! This entry period ends at 11:59am ET tomorrow, so get your entries in before then. For complete rules you can shared with your loved ones, click here. And much thanks to the fine people at LucasArts for the great prizes.

I would like to win a psp, so I can play games on UMD that I purchased legally! No really!
Robby @ Oct 8th 2007 4:13PM
Learned it's about Star Wars.
Kevin @ Oct 9th 2007 8:50PM
Colin used a math term when describing the controls. Obtuse, that's a funny word.
jpn @ Oct 8th 2007 12:06PM
i learned galactic conquest mode rules!
ehtoanokuso @ Oct 8th 2007 12:07PM
utilized the PSP system pretty well
JL @ Oct 8th 2007 12:07PM
Nick said the bigger vehicles get stuck and the aiming is sluggish. Oh no!

*Off topic, even If Im disqualified:
I dont like this kind of contest, with a random winner. Why dont you guys do another type of contest, like the Lost Planet one or something like? That way, people with skills get the prize, not at random.
Kazi @ Oct 8th 2007 12:50PM
Off Topic: Well, what do you suggest they get people to play? You can't suggest another system, not all people that want this will have it. And you can't suggest the system they're giving away, why exclude people don't don't have a PSP? With Trivia you might as well have it as a random draw.
This is the best way to include everyone, as well as plug their articles. I for one never would have read the reviews as I don't have a PSP and probably would never get a chance to buy this PSP exclusive model (except on E-Bay, overpriced). I plan on buying a PSP for myself this Kazimas (my birthday is right next to Christmas and I don't celebrate Christmas so I give presents to everyone for Kazimas) but right now I can't afford to dish out the cash, and my DS addiction doesn't help things either. And I'd for one love a PSP with Darth Vader on it.
On Topic: I learned that Nick has never played a Battlefront before, and hasn't touched Star Wars games since the n64, which is lohlable ("I found my cherry popping experience delightfully intuitive."). The best thing I learned about the gameplay (besides Galactic Conquest) is the added customization with upgrades to make yourself a capturing maniac. Though I haven't learned where, how or other things you can change yourself into.
3cubed minus 3squared plus1 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:56PM
Kazi, I'm betting you don't remember the Lost Planet contest.
There was no playing anything, it was a photoshop contest for who made the best/funniest box art for the game.
required @ Oct 8th 2007 12:57PM
life is random...
FTW!
Fernando Rocker (NDF - Water Ring) @ Oct 8th 2007 1:00PM
Kazi
Im not asking to play a game online... I meant like a photoshop contest, like past times. Like the Lost planet one.
Dio @ Oct 8th 2007 11:13PM
Off topic:
I think the contest would be better if readers posted something that the editors liked, and the editors and writers would have to somehow read every entry XD Maybe a caption contest? But I'm sure there are too many to be considered, so I guess a giveaway a week with random winners would be the best way.

On topic:
I learned that the game has various content to offer, but feels unbalanced to experienced Battlefront players. People new to these series will enjoy it.
Alhon @ Oct 8th 2007 12:10PM
Colin says it has an awesome customization feature.
Mat @ Oct 8th 2007 12:12PM
Man, Nick's really not a fan of the vehicles...
Bryan Carr @ Oct 8th 2007 12:10PM
I love the fact that this game takes place in the Extended Universe, because quite frankly there just isn't enough of that.
...Thanks for all you've taught me, previews.
riggs @ Oct 8th 2007 12:10PM
damn complex controls its like they were making it for adults!
SoulBlade @ Oct 8th 2007 12:11PM
The controls can be so bad that they may cause you to die in the game.
vinny @ Oct 8th 2007 12:11PM
gimme a spaceballs game!
Dan @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM
Oh noez, the controlz are teh hard!
ron funches @ Oct 8th 2007 12:15PM
the game gets lonely
Ruze @ Oct 8th 2007 12:13PM

BD @ Oct 8th 2007 12:13PM
Renegade Squadron uses PSP's full clock speed, 333MHz.
LiquidMuffin @ Oct 8th 2007 12:13PM
No real story line! Dissappointing indeed.
ZRX @ Oct 8th 2007 12:13PM
Customization feature.
Spence @ Oct 8th 2007 12:15PM
I learned that there is a psp star wars game, it had eluded me before.
neil @ Oct 8th 2007 12:16PM
Nick wasn't fond of the vehicles.
Ed Rose @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM
Framerate has stabilized due to the fully unlocked power of the darkside!!!
homerj312 @ Oct 8th 2007 3:30PM
the controls are pretty annoying
gumby @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM
Nick found that getting his battlefront cherry popped by this game was enjoyable and they controls were intuitive unlike Andrew and Colin.
snupher @ Oct 8th 2007 2:19PM
It seems everyone enjoyed Galactic Conquest mode. I, however, did not enjoy "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry". That was a sad, sad excuse for a movie. IMHO.
Justin @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM
The game although easy, has a ton of content to be had. And is limited by the control scheme of the PSP.
Contre @ Oct 8th 2007 12:15PM
I learned that they have full access to the systems full speed.
Sange @ Oct 8th 2007 12:34PM
the controls can be bad
Krusty @ Oct 8th 2007 12:15PM
I learned it was too easy!
samfish (MSDF- Nurse Outfit!) @ Oct 8th 2007 12:16PM
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY:
Colin was surprised the game would be PSP exclusive
alu @ Oct 8th 2007 12:16PM
that the game is using the PSP's turbo button now. remember those?
Jordan r @ Oct 8th 2007 12:18PM
graphics are so so
Kaemon @ Oct 8th 2007 12:17PM
The PSP now utilizes its full clock speed of 333mhz. Neat.
tuaamin13 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:17PM
There's multiple control schemes. But is there a customizable option?
FezMan88 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:18PM
I learned that random gameplay can finally make me less bored on the go
brentshaffa @ Oct 8th 2007 12:17PM
It takes place in the original trilogy, which means it'll be awesome.
jamesxbox360 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:19PM
I didn't even know about the Galactic Conquest mode until I read the reviews. It sounds awesome.
flapjackman176 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:19PM
no full motion cinematic scenes? =( that makes me one sad panda.
Nathan @ Oct 8th 2007 12:19PM
Oh noes, I learned Nick isn't fond of the vehicles!
