Always read the details about Amazon listings. I bought a mixer the other day and had to sift throught the various sellers to find the best mixture of good deal / good seller. If you don't pay attention, you can get a bad deal. Amazon purchases aren't as cut and dry as they used to be. It is getting close to an EBay situation at this point. Well, maybe not that bad but still, caveat emptor.

This is normal. I thought everyone knew about it. The market place always offer varying prices, sometimes cheaper than Amazon themselves, but sometimes outrageously priced.

Is this supposed to be new? You always doublecheck the "Ships from and sold by" at Amazon.

Yeah, Amazon's 3rd party seller system is a bit dicey. If someone isn't used to it I could see themselves getting the shaft without even noticing it. Maybe they should seperate the Amazon and the 3rd party sales a bit better, make them 2 seperate sites all together.

Due to the current setup, I almost bought from their 3rd party folks without noticing a few times.

Exactly! Now it's like going into a Friday's only to find out that all the food within is from Denny's. Bad analogy, but you can still see how unhappy this can make customers and how potentially deceptive this can be.

If you can't get it from Amazon try Red Octane. I pre-ordered my XB360 version from Red Octanes site which includes Free shipping + free extras.

So don't be bummed out if you can't pre-order it from Amazon.
