"Beaumont" makes it sound like they should be fighting the Capulets and Montagues over Texas oil revenues.

Texas? Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy! And you don't look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down!

It's funnier that in Castlevania for the NES, the main character is credited as being Simon Belmondo.

Actually, that is his Japanese name.
The kana for his name (シモン・ベルモンド) reads "shimon berumondo," but the romanization for it would be Simon Belmondo.

Haha- do you think Simon Beaumont has "a pretty big dick"?

Iga does it again. *cries*

Seriously though, I wonder if this was done on purpose. Didn't the Genesis Castlevania game also lack a character with the Belmont name? It WAS a Belmont, but the surname wasn't Belmont. I forget.

Bloodlines had Johnny Morris and Eric Lecarde, and they are not Belmonts. They serve to hold the Vampire Killer when a Belmont is training or unable to use it.

I'm sure it's just a mistake by someone in marketing. Since they never know about the product they're trying to sell.

Still funny, though.

Let's not forget that Konami is the company that has for years confused the name of Castlevania also-ran family the Belnades with the more common last name "Fernandez." I'm actually not sure which one is right.

To be fair, Belnades and Fernandez are quite close in translation, as I hear.

That, and Carrie could have simply been an offshoot of the family, such as Reinhardt.
