Today's future-of-advertising-video: Yaris game

Remember that Yaris XBLA game to be released free on Wednesday? Gametrailers user, warchiefgrim, uploaded a clip. We hope this video convinces you to save the precious bandwidth of the internet and pass on the game; even "free" costs too much.

Things we learned:

The 4-Door Sedan Yaris comes in such focus-group-approved colors as "Jade Sea Metallic," and "Flint Mica."
Northbound on 101 goes straight up (and straight down) as often as it goes north.
The Yaris is powered by the constant desire to catch a cat toy mounted on its roof. Sadly, the toy is always just out of reach.

Yeah, it'll be quite an achievement to find someone online to play this game.

Remember Beetle Adventure Racing? That was quite a game. In fact, I was so inspired that I submitted to Taco Bell at the time the blueprints (close carbon copy of BAR) for "Yo Quero Chihuahua Kart". You had a choice of like six different dogs, and you'd speed up by eating double-deckers (the popular taco at the time). It was tight- a shame it never was made.

BAR was a fun and underrated game on N64, I've been looking for another game in that vein (ridiculous physics, focus on exploring/shortcuts) for a long time

That game was great.

Tons of unlockables, multi-player battle and race, amazing environments, and great graphics.

That game should never be dissed, especially when comparing it to something similar such as Mario Kart 64.

So,when you buy a Yaris, does the roof mounted War of the World's gun come as standard equipment?

Ok, I'll say it: I'm not sure I want to waste hard drive space on this thing.

but after watching that, i don't need free smelly shit.

I think that this game is GT5 prologue.

...OOHHH, so it's a REALLY shitty version of a crappy clone of S.T.U.N. Runner. Hell, even the original barely holds up at this point.

If its free, i see little reason not to try it. Are joystiq against product related games in general, or is it just bad ones?

reminds me of the Sonic 2 special stages where you collect the rings to progress..... just the was the car moves side to side..... but other than that it looks shit lol

as a gamer, ill try anything once. and if its free and the acievements are pretty damn easy, ill shoot for some. but it doesnt mean ill like it, man does that look like crap! i mean, i like aegis wing and i only got around to getting 2 of those achievements... good thing sweet sweet puzzle quest is coming out this week!!!!!

Well, at the very least, I like car itself. It doesn't have any real power, but its super amazing on gas. Which is cool, since I have better things to spend my money on than filling oil company's pockets.

free = good
