The "Believe" videos really hyped me up for Halo3 whereas before I had kindof a "meh" attitude.

I really loved this ad campaign. It felt really well done and carefully filmed. My only gripe is that this final battle portrayed in the diorama really never happens in the game.
With that said, the 'Believe' video called 'Weapon', I think, was the best. That's the one with the two gentlemen talking about their assigned weapons, M90A CAWS shotgun and sniper rifle, and they pick up the Spike rifle. I loved that one.
They all trigger a more solid feel in me than video game ads have in the past, I will say that. I hope they're released on some sort of DVD or downloadable file format sooner than later!

I think they were great! My wife played Halo 3 with me because of the diorama and live action vids. She said seeing it real like that gave a better context as to why you were fighting and that it doesn't make it seem like just shooting weird looking creatures after seeing it. Good Job Bungie/MS!

This shows that after 50 years the chief was never found. So much for that distress signal.

SPOILER ALERT:
Based on the end of Halo 3, if this is 43 years later and they still haven't found the Chief or Cortana at the edge of the Galaxy, if there is ever a sequel it must take place atleast 50years later, assuming these adverts are classed as cannon that is.
I want them to find Chief, but how much power does a status chamber, especially in half a ship even had, assuming that Cortana didn't wake the Chief for some reason.

wow...that was pretty intense...I loved this ad campaign...though...wouldn't it kinda make some people who haven't played Halo yet feel as if they don't want to play the game since they think they know the ending?

@10. *Spoiler Alert*
These ads are not canonically correct. (It's actually spelled "canon".) Bungie said that this campaign had nothing to do with their story.

Considering Master Chief is outside the rim of the Milky Way, and drifting towards a (Forerunner? Onyx?) planet, it'll take more than 50 years to get back.

I haven't watched the last one but I thought the Commercials where refreshingly different and heard a lot of non-gamer types take notice.

@10.
The Cryo coffins had their own independent power supplies, which is what let Linda live after she was jetissoned from the Pillar of Autumn before it crashed onto the first Halo.
So, I'm guessing that the are probably solar powered, which means that he probably has a near infinite source of power.
And why would that marine know anything about the Spartan program, specifically the MIA/KIA aspect? And why would the Chief be speaking to him?

I hate and love the ads.
I love the ads for being, well... good ads.
I hate them for making the game seem to be more than what it is.

Just because the humans havnt found MC yet 43 years later, doesnt mean he's not out there kicking ass and taking names...

Ha. At the beginning of the vid, the narrator says that the soldier hadn't been there in 49 years. Then after a couple moments, the soldier said that he remembered a fake funeral "right over there" 5 years ago.

this was supposed to be released on the 1st of october. i kept checking back to see it...but it never appeared. finally its here.
@1...LOL...awesome.
@ mattclarke: yea...43 years in a cryostasis chamber would allow for alot of dreams. plus if he's outside the milky way, it would take a long time to get back. maybe the cheif is fighting the forerunners now. LOL

I think this is more of a filler in what comes next than an ad... Just in theory because I know Bungie said no more halo games, After 50 years 117 isn't back, so that rules out the possibility of what we saw at the end of the credits to be a Earth. Which isn't much but it's a start.

The diorama battle is coming! Just you wait and see Halo Wars. Halo 3 is by no means the end of MC.

Wasn't the arbitar flying the ship mastercheif took off in, and didn't he make it back for the ceremony? If so I think that is the end... perhaps MS needs a few years to work on any kind of addon to this game (it made them a boat load of money so you can be sure of some kinda of FPS sequal..) Halo wars better be released with a mouse and keyboard pack. :)

Halo wars is set before Halo 3, MS now owns the Halo ip so if there is going to be another one its no longer bungie's say from what I understand, they just wouldn't be making it...

I know Bungie has said they Ad campaign is not related, but I think the best DLC they could put out is a mission where you could fight in this battle.
