Massage Me turns (legitimate) massages into gameplay

A couple of gifted graduate students have found a great use for all the excess energy and digital dexterity required in playing video games: massages.

By mapping game controllers onto soft wearable fabrics, Hannah Perner-Wilson and Mika Satomi invented Massage Me, a special device that allows gamers to give fantastic (legitimate) massages while playing their favorite video games. The website gives detailed instructions on how to build your own devices, but for those more curious than intrepid, the site also features photos and video of the product in action.

Already announced for the Winter season is the Massage Me: Prostate expansion with suitable addon module for Wii.

Nintendo is gonna be pissed. These guys have released Massage Me before Nintendo had a chance to release Massage Mii.

It'll now look like Nintendo is doing like Sony and copying other ideas.

That.... looks painful. I can't imagine that feeling good for the person receiving the massage, and I imagine the gamers play like crap. A lose/lose if you ask me.

That is all kinds of strange, I mean, the whole point of a massage is to work out tense areas, and instead of doing that, you'd be working on what ever button you need to press to win. Sorta, self defeating, add that to the fact the game is probably crappy, and you honestly don't have a great product.

On the other hand, if you are so much a gaming addict that any sort of fix will do, and you are ignoring your girlfriend hardcore, well, this could be the saving grace for your otherwise doomed relationship.

Sure, it could also add a little gay to your local lan party too.
