Coheed and Cambria join Rock Band

Dude, I like all those bands too (well, except one or two that I don't really listen to so I can't really say I "like" them). This is crazy. I mean, I can see why there's people that don't like Coheed - they're not for everyone. But I thought video game nerds, especially the kind that post comments on video game blogs all day, would like Coheed. I guess I was surprised by how much actual hate there was for them. Oh well, I'm going back to listen to the new song they put on their myspace yesterday! later, all you 16 yr old haters!

The songs that are played on the radio usually aren't the best songs on Coheed's albums. "The Running Free" is much more poppy than most of the stuff that they play. Go listen to The Final Cut, or even their newly released song on their myspace "Gravemakers and Gunslingers", this band has a lot more talent than other bands out there these days. You don't see a lot of the more mainstream bands improvising at their live concerts, do you? Its because most of them aren't capable of it. A lot of you have 16 year olds have probably never even heard of Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd. Coheed and Cambria have pretty much brought the guitar solo back to the radio.

Awesome. I've been waiting for these guys to show up here or in GH3. Not my favorite song of theirs, but I guess it's probably their most well-known.

i think its funny how people bash on c&c and go on to praise bands like iron maiden, as though playing songs with 3 power chords requires more talent.

and oh no the guy has a high pitched voice, get over it. if it doesnt contain metal screaming or growling i guess it sucks.

with that said yeah they could have picked a better song than welcome home, like ten speed.

Wow, some of you guys are too brutal on a band that set out to be, and succeeded in being, something different.

Maybe you'll be happy when there's some truly terrible music like Kid Rock or Linkin Park on it.

But as for me and my opinion.. coheed infinitely rocks. Bands today don't hold a candle to them!

Sorry we can't all be stuck in your parents free love fest, but believe it or not, some modern rock isn't like the disgusting remnants of Nickelback's 3 chord progression that plagues every song of every fucking album of theirs. Quit complaining about the guy's voice as if it were the OC and just listen to the instrumental. The guitar is great for this song and makes it a great addition to the game. Sorry there's no Pokemon for you to catch with awkward pedophile worthy anime girls. Fuck off, again.

I must admit I love Coheed and Cambria, though I can understand some of you getting put off by his high pitched voice. This song in particular is not the best work to show off their skills. I personally would have loved Time Consumer.

k, well i originally posted that i was not siked about it... Then i actually took the IGN guy out of the picture and listened to the song, and HELL YEAH... i cannot wait for this song... Best guitar parts, and the voice isnt that bad... But its all something different than the mainstream...

Coheed and Cambria is like RUSH (since that is their greatest influence). First of all, the songs they sing and this is most of them, have an actual meaning behind it. A story that if you listen, you might enjoy (2112 from Rush and the Chronicle songs from Coheed and Cambria).

But then again, this is my personal opinion, like ALL the statements here.

All of you people bashing Coheed and Cambria are freaking, tone deaf, musically ignorant morons. You probably all cheered when Fall Out Boy was added to Rock Band. Coheed and Cambria have more talent in one fucking pinky then any other modern band has in it's entirety. If you can't recognize the intricate guitar parts they string together and the amazing lyrics they weave, then you don't deserve to listen to music. Period.
