Kill Jim Liebowitz mocks all sides of gaming politics
Violent video game creators are also mocked as the developer of Kill Jim Liebowitz explains that any similarity to Liebowitz is coincidental and you don't have to kill Liebowitz in the game if you don't want to. Soon after there's a scene where a man in the background is using a Wiimote -- in a way we wish would actually be that satisfying -- to eviscerate the Liebowitz character to very dramatic sounds. The developer even makes a great causality argument equating video games to corn bread. Following an attack on Liebowitz blamed on the game the developer says, "These kids love cornbread. Should we ban cornbread? I love cornbread."
So, what happens at the end? Watch the video and find out a potential fate for violent video games.

This is not at all a ripoff of Kill Doug Szathkey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gurNtaRu0kc) from the Ben Stiller show 15 years ago. In fact, it's very original.

I'm glad someone else caught that as well.

That video was awesome. I hadn't seen it before. Much better delivery than this one too. Yummy Gummy Auto Parts!

As a paranoid, gun-toting, jack-booted neocon, I'd just like to say, for the record, that Joe Lieberman was once a democrat. And Hillary is a suckfacewhore when it comes to games. Just sticking up for my party a little bit there.

Who the fuck cares? Government shouldn't have any say in the matter to begin with.
And before you say he was "once a democrat", he might've also been "once a republican" before that. Or maybe during those rebellious years he was "once an independent". Doesn't matter what party he's in or was in, he's still a giant flaming douche.

Really, this is funny?
A little heavy handed if you ask me. Oh yeah, the timing is bad, too.

For future reference, this is the second time Olde English was featured on Joystiq. The first was WAYYY back in August 2006 with their improv sketch comedy video for "Pokemon Day". Thanks for introducing me way back when! I've been a fan ever since.

Hey guys -- Adam from Olde English here. (I played the "game designer" character.) First of all, thanks for the writeup! Secondly, I'd like to thank the commenter that linked to the "Kill Doug Szathkey" video, as I had never seen it before. This was a case of parallel thinking -- faced with similar issues, 15 years apart, both we and The Ben Stiller Show's writers came up with the same play on the idea. (This is something that happens to comedians quite often, though rarely this specifically.) It's an amazing coincidence -- thanks for bringing it to our attention!
