Unfortunately, it isn't surprising at all. And I can't understand for the life of me why people are including stuff like Need For Speed and Medal of Honor in their lists of stuff that they are going to BUY or are considering good. ZZzzzzzz.

Maybe because the MoH game will be the first worthwhile online console FPS ever, if they manage MP level controls?

I'm getting that one if nothing else.

JodyAnthony: "come on samfish. i dont know about you, but i only play games that prove how mature and old i am."

You're joking, right? I'd play any of those games if they are fun, even though a lot of them don't look it. Why should we have to play games to prove anything?

Reminds me of a ps2 lineup--and that's not a bad thing.

I own this game already. It came out September 25th.

CONTROL F: MARIO.

Oh shit, only 4 results? What the fuck is this SMORGASBORD of third party delights?

In your face haters.

Like I keep saying, in Q4 2007 the Wii is getting more games (and more EXCLUSIVES) than the 360 and the PS3 combined. Third parties want in bad.

I hate to say this, but I am starting to understand why Kotaku screens the users they allow to leave posts. What the Hell has happened to the comments section here at Joystiq?

DS devs are about to run into the same wall that has killed them on other platforms -- too many games in too small a channel.

Didn't seem to hurt the PS2. its not that everybody wants to play every game, its that there's lots of different games for lots of different people to play. Thats what brought the PS2 success, and that'll be what brings DS and Wii success also.

I'm not willing to shift through that pile of liscensed kiddy crap.

I think I'll just stick with Mario Galaxy and Contra 4 and call my Nintendo shopping good.

How ever did you get buy in the PS2 era then?

Its not like stores have these games in giant piles in the middle of the floor that you literally have to dive into Scrooge McDuck style to find the game you want. Most stores have them on the shelves in alphabetical order, so all you have to do to find the game you want is go to the appropriate letter and look for it.

Damn.

Oh God, Fanboys...they're everywhere

...but to get to a substantive comment, I am still not satisfied with the 3rd party support here. It is still trickling in at a half-assed pace.
Also, a lot of genres or horribly underrepresented in the Wii lineup.

As for DS, I'm going to be blunt and admit that whenever I look at a DS release list, I am really just looking for the word "Castlevania"

It's digital crack and I want more...looks like I'll be playing a little PSP, then.

Wow, lots of games available to play. That's good.

How many do any of us WANT to play, though? Out of everything Nintendo and its 3rd party support has coming ... No More Heroes, maybe RE: Umbrella Chronicles ... but that's about it for me.

Lotsa games, but I can't imagine the attach rate of games:consoles is very good for Nintendo.

Its higher than the PS3's. PS3 fanboys are the reason their console is failing. They should be out buying several copies of every game to make their platform look more lucrative.

Oh my sweet God, grow up people. Yes the list has a lot of kiddy stuff on it but its the business. Nintendo is at least second in penetration of the market and with their lower development costs and cultivations of the system as something for the family they are going to get the glut of Movie/TV/what ever the hell Hannah Montana is tie in games. ESPECIALLY NOW THAT WE ARE ENTERING HOLIDAY FAMILY MOVIE SEASON. Nintendo is a buisness so having these games on it can't hurt them, see the PS2 for example

We as the hardcore, game blog visiting market are a small percent of buisness and all the bitching about the list is reaching Comic Book fanboy levels. The "Well If I don't like it they must be wrong for doing it and are going to go bankrupt on it," sorta bs. There are games on that list that some of the over twenty gamer market will like but that is often a question of your preferences.

I know it's asking a lot, but I was perusing the DS list, crossing my fingers while I looked for yet another Zelda title.

Yoohoo! Nintendo! 36 year old Nintendo fanboy here! And I'm losing interest... seriously. I love the Wii. I love its potential. But.. I don't want to play CRAP! Yes, there are some mighty tasty titles in that list- maybe a tiny handful in that extremely long list.

I don't yet have a 360 or PS3.. it's the first time in a VERY long time that I did not rush out to buy up a new generation of game console on launch days. But I'm itching for entertainment and my Wii and DS aren't doing their job. I'm not even asking for M-rated games! Just entertain me with amazing fun whether its 'E', 'T' or 'M'.
