Smash Bros. Brawl delayed in US until February 10, 2008

At a media summit this morning in San Francisco, Nintendo of America's George Harrison (via MTV Multiplayer) has confirmed that the US version of Smash Bros. Brawl will follow in its Japanese brethren's footsteps and be delayed until February 10, 2008.

The loss of this future bestseller during the holiday season will definitely sadden some fans (and Nintendo's profit margin), but then again Mario Galaxy is also coming in November (so far as we know) and it was always uncharacteristic of Nintendo to space AAA-title releases so close together.

No word yet on a delay for PAL territories, though we suspect a similar fate.

But it's um, true, and everybody knows it but EA and movie tie-in games. GTA4? Duke Nukem Forever?

Delays happen to everything, just like when you try to get a boner, ZAP!

I think its for the best. It also gives third party games a chance to sell well this holiday season.

I'd be really, REALLY pissed, if it weren't for:

I don't think I could have fit Smash Brothers into my busy schedule anyway.

Hopefully the PAL version won't get delayed; It was already months behind.

Oh well, it's only a 2 month delay. There are already WAY to many games coming out in 07, so this will help me catch up.

I was looking forward to playing this during my break this December, too. I agree, the extra time will only make it better. Who knows who else they'll put in it? Ryu from SFII?

Great, now I have to hear my nephew talk about this for two more months because he has a crazy Sonic the Hedgehog obsession. ARGH.

Saw this coming from a mile ago. Ah well, I think this delay is a nice idea because the programmers will have more (and hopefully enough) time to polish every bit of the game to perfection, especially the online. Plus, it gives me the time to save enough cash and buy GHIII now, and save more cash for SSBB.

And Master Higgins better be in the game, or I'm going over to NOA and bitch-slap Reggie Fils-aime.

I'll have Galaxy for christmas. Any more and I'd be failing my January university exams (still may fail some though) and that would then really mess up my summer of gaming having to revise for resits. Its good in a weird twisted way I guess.

this game is pretty good but dont really see the difference between melee and brawl. Like we should be able to move all ways not just side ways. That would make it much more better.
