Today's more-than-tech-demo-video: Wii Music
GameTrailers posts a clip of -- we assume -- Wii Music from the latest press conference flurry. We know what they say about assumptions and are digging for more details. Until then, the rumored game seems to be much more than a tech demo. Now when will Video Games Live use this -- or those other games -- in a show?See the clip after the break.

iamtheoneyouknowbest @ Oct 11th 2007 11:18AM
No, it's like Rock Band with more cowbell.
I have a fever and the cure is more cowbell.
Clack @ Oct 11th 2007 1:17AM
It prints money!
Cheezeman3000 @ Oct 11th 2007 1:20AM
It's like Rock Band only with the entire orchestra AND conductor at your disposal.
I think I'm in love.

Yeah I know people(idiots) are going to shit on this game, though people tend to forget that the reason why Nintendo is so popular is because they have the ability to make a game that is so simple yet so addicting at the same time.
Mr. P @ Oct 11th 2007 1:31AM
Nintendo is stealing ideas. Typical.
ridestowe @ Oct 11th 2007 1:35AM
lolwut? r u serious?
captainawesome @ Oct 11th 2007 1:49AM
Yeah, this is just awful. Nintendo CLEARLY stole from Rock Band, which stole from Guitar Hero, which stole from GuitarFreaks, which stole from Rhythm games in general, which stole from the Atari 2600, which stole from Pong, which stole from Tennis, which stole from hitting rocks with sticks.
Yoshi Likes Boys @ Oct 11th 2007 2:06AM
Hitting Rocks With Sticks was the GOTY 300 BC.
Jonny @ Oct 11th 2007 2:10AM
It actually got beat out by "Hitting Mr. P's Ancestors with Sticks", which makes a lot of sense...and explains the retardation in later generations.
Yoshi Likes Boys @ Oct 11th 2007 2:15AM
I don't go for that franchised crap. It was totally derivative, honestly, how many palette swapped versions of his mom do I have to bitchslap?
ThornedVenom @ Oct 11th 2007 2:31AM
@CaptainAwesome: I wish hitting rocks with sticks was patentable. xD

You win!

Someone forgot to read his fanboy handbook. Remember, Mr. P, that only Sony and Microsoft steal ideas, everything that Nintendo does is completely original. Their developers only play Nintendo games and don't see the other parties at conventions.
But seriously, it looks meh-ish at best, but that's what I've said about every Wii game I've seen thus far since I don't own one or plan on owning one for quite some time as I already own every one of their old consoles and don't see anything I care to drop a hundred some odd bucks for.

Reminds me of Band Bros., which is very very good. It was a rare occasion when I could round up 8 DSss'sss for a full Band Bros. session, but they were glorious. It'll be much easier to hand some remotes to some friends that are already over and start rocking. I'm definitely getting both Guitar Hero 3 and this. Viva la rhythmlution!
ThornedVenom @ Oct 11th 2007 4:48AM
I sometimes wish we had Band Bros. But hey, we've got Jam Sessions.
Rubang B (NDF - Heart) @ Oct 11th 2007 6:06AM
Import Band Bros.! It's so much better than Jam Sessions. And you can write your own songs for up to 8 instruments if you find the manual translated somewhere. You don't need to be able to read Japanese to play any of the non-writing stuff once you find out where start and quit and retry are. And it has the best Famicom medley ever, with Dr. Mario, Balloon Fight, and everything.
Superuser @ Oct 11th 2007 5:42AM
Has anyone an idea about how the gameplay works?
Paul P. @ Oct 11th 2007 9:50AM
I will totally buy this IF you can compose your own music a la Mario Paint, but of course a lot more complex and detailed than that limited (albeit very fun) version.
Hirsbrunner @ Oct 11th 2007 9:51AM
This looks pretty good. At least the 4/4 pattern is correct. Still looking for more info on Wii Orchestra, though.
Any news on that front?
Johnnyg0 @ Oct 11th 2007 12:36PM
This totally needs to have a Theremin in there
