Ubisoft brushes SCi, Lara Croft aside
Look SCi, Ubisoft wanted me to tell you that they really just want to be friends. Sure, you both had some laughs, and there was a time when things might have even gotten serious, but Ubi has moved on, and really, you should too.
What's all this about? Well it turns out that despite last month being linked to possibly purchasing Edios and Lara Croft parent SCi, French-based developer/publisher Ubisoft has now lost interest in any potential deal, with a spokesperson telling Reuters that the company "has no intention of making an offer for SCI-Eidos." Ubisoft was one of a handful of firms that had been reportedly looking at SCi as a possible acquisition, with other companies including current SCi shareholder Time Warner, as well as Electronic Arts and an unspecified Chinese firm, so it will be interesting to see how all this shakes out as we wait to see just where Lara Croft will call home. Until then, keep your chin up Lara. As they say, there's other fish in the sea.

Ubisoft no longer wants Lara Croft? Glad to see they've joined the rest of the gaming community.

Zing! I'll be damned if that ain't the truth.

Well Lara has some choices... I hope they go with WB, since they've been with the company for a while and SHOULD have a better idea what is going on with production than anyone else. And we all know EA is just a huge slut, it's already with Bioware & Pandemic.
"Unspecified Chinese firm"? I'm a little confused, details, maybe?

I know I'm not the only one, but I really loved the Tomb Raider games. TR:Anniversary is great.

So.... a little unrelated BUT... Does anyone know when TR: Anniversary is coming out for the 360? They are only listing it for the Wii on Eidos.com even though all major retailers are saying October 23. Anyone know what is going on?

Well, my wife loves the series--and she asks me that question nearly every day.

the first one was good. Great exploration. The second one blew, since it became a third person shooter, and i don't find putting 60 bullets in someone before they go down entertaining at all. God, that game was annoying. If the others were better, i will never know, since they lost me after 2.
