Everything looks good until the third part when you see the combat. Sure, the cutscene killings look cool (a la Heavenly Sword), but the combat appears a bit slow and awkward (one guy fighting when there are ten other people standing around). As we learned during our hands-on time with the game, there won't be a demo for gamers to experience the "different" style of Assassin's Creed before its release. Eh, they've got a couple months to work out the combat kinks ... or longer.

That's fine, but the end result of the battle is 10 guys dead and you running away. It makes no sense. A couple of the guys could have grabbed you while another executes! They should at least give you crowd control abilities like in WoW (I don't know, dust to blind enemies, etc).
PS The first guy killed in the third video kicks both of his legs up and down so ridiculously I laughed.

I noticed a distinct lack of physics when he jumped on to the platform suspended by a rope.

The combat system is reportedly very methodical. You're only supposed to be able to attack so fast, and there's apparently some osrt of rhythm to it. It's not a grand whoop-fest like Heavenly Sword. If you had everyone attack you at once, I don't think you could survive.
In games with complicated and progressive storylines, playing the same scene 5 times because you keep dying just really throws off the flow for me.
Besides, he was taking hits. It wasn't just one-on-one. He was in a tight circle surrounded by 5 guys and even though they weren't all just bum rushing him, he was taking hits on all sides.
All I hear is people crapping on this game. Is everyone just afraid to stick out? It looks good to me. I don't see a problem. I've ben following this game for 1.5 years, and I'm expecting it'll be good - one of the few brings I could bring myself to pay full retail for (as opposed to second-hand).

well he's an assassin, he shouldn't be jumping into the middle of 10 knights and expect to live
that's why people are raggin' on this

It looks decent to me but the combat looks a lil stale. I don't expect nor want a cluster of bad guys attacking me at the same time but it just looks so uneventful and boring to me in its current shape.
Anyways I'm willing to buy it the day it comes out but only if the reviews are good and only after seeing some more gameplay footage.

honestly what blah said is correct and if you want to jump at a guy with a sword and try and grab him have fun. And for everyones information assassins were the most highly trained swordsman of the time and if you notice altairs sword is lighter therefore more agile then the european swords
