Beyond the fact that I don't care for Moby that CE CD was particularly shitastic. I think even Moby would admit he did it as a blatant cash grab and didnt put any effort into it at all.

Oh I can respect not feeling a musician's work.

Personally there are just 2 songs of his that I like...

I was just curious as to why the random attack on moby of all the artists listed there.

I can't believe I'm agreeing w/Shag.

What's wrong with Moby? He's a Dick. And his attempts at creating music are complete failures.

Coupled with the fact that he's whored pretty much every song he's ever made out for commercials.

Yeah, Thats total BS that I payed extra for the collectors edition and got easily the worst CD I own. The stuff on that disc is total garbage, I don't see how it holds any value no matter how you look at it. I should have gotten this, you know, the actual soundtrack.

Good thing the game is so legendary though. Oh and that Big Daddy figurine looks awesome on my dashboard :P

Oh God...the Andrews Sisters. Quite possibly the biggest abomination ever known to music.
I used to DJ for a radio station that played Big Band and Swing and we played them all the time. It's truly the stuff of ice picks being shoved in ears.

I'd buy a soundtrack CD if it was all the original music from the game, not those god awful remixes.

And not the orchestral score - I've already got that on my Ipod ;).

I love 30's and 40's music.

Great music in the game, though for some songs they chose the whitest version possible... though I guess that makes sense since apparently black people weren't allowed in Rapture, hahaha.

Could it just be that they picked the best versions? The Ink Spots and Billie Holiday are on there, and they're not exactly white.

You have to remember - most of these songs were from the 30's and 40's, when segrigation was still an unfortunate part of American society. Alot of radio stations, at the time, wouldn't play music by black musicians, that obviously "sounded black". That's why all the singers "sound so white".

To be honest, I had no idea the Ink Spots were black until about 3 or 4 years ago. And the same thing happened to Elvis, too. Alot of radio ststions refused to play his early work, because it "sounded too black".

I think a nod should be thrown to Chopin's Raindrop Prelude in the Halo "Believe" ad.

Homeworld, when you return from the hyperspace test and the home planet has been attacked and Barber's Agnes Dei (the choral version of Adagio for strings) chimes in has to be the best use of classical music in a game, oh and The Blue Danube in the original Elite.

If you have the pc version you have the soundtrack, It's a matter of finding a player (or mp3 converter) and grabbing the data files. You can also view all 3 (yes 3) endings and some ok lots of hidden content
