Random Spyro toys invade Wendy's kids meals

If so, you'll be happy to know that Wendy's is hitching its Kids' Meals onto the coattails of Krome Studios and Amaze Entertainment's The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, offering a set of five toys based on the latest in the miniature dragon's trilogy of games. The trinkets run the usual gamut of weirdness, including a Spyro-themed game of checkers and a Spyro keychain, which simply pushes the notion of "toy" beyond all measure of credulity.
As pack-in freebies go, these fall well below that of the competition, however random seems to be a running theme with Wendy's these days. To sweeten the deal, each Kids' Meal also includes a $5 off GameStop coupon for any version of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, though given the painful experience it was to play the last game this is simply not enough to make us go through the drive thru.

It is good to see Wendy's getting the greatest and most popular franchises in their grasp for toys. I too remember "Garfield Set # 29" and "Cartoon I've Never Heard Of".

I saw this just hours ago when I was in Wendys, Kind of depressing, I thought to my self "Wow, now theres a game I remember as being really fresh and new" Now look how whored out and shitty it has become.
The food was fantastic btw, its been too long since I enjoyed some Wendy's :D But there was some really creepy old lady working there who was clearly losing her mind who asked me how I was doing while she was on her break about 9 times.

aw man. i wish this came out a week before. i actually bought the GBA version of Spyro last week. trust me. the game is good on the GBA. it's very Treasure-esque. some people have referred to it as a 2d devil may cry with spyro as the main character.
