Haloid creator mashes up Final Fantasy and Dead or Alive
71
After pitting Master Chief and Samus against each other, animator Monty Oum now renders the results of the Final Fantasy universe intersecting with Tomonobu Itagaki's fighting franchise, Dead or Alive. If you take issue with saucer-eyed women pummeling each other in ways that defy logic and gravity, avert your eyes and hide your children (advent or otherwise) before the interminable Matrix music kicks in.
Why are Kasumi and Yuna so upset with one another? Why are bullets so utterly useless? Why hasn't someone made Super Smash Sisters yet? Clearly, we're asking way too many questions. Just enjoy the mad choreography and know that if it's anything like Haloid, love can eventually bloom on the battlefield.
[Thanks, Kamizar]

I like Tifa better than Paine but it was kinda random she showed up. The FFX chicks in their X-2 outfits but not actually the third girl from X-2? Interesting. Tifa is more interesting though. Can't wait for the next part.
Oh and btw, it's always hard for a gunfighter to be in these vids because their bullets hitting other characters would be kinda weird. That's why only energy blasts hit the DoA girls.

I thought the choreography was amazing. :) I wouldn't recommend him for directing in Hollywood, though, seriously--a bunch of girls fighting isn't really what people watch for hours on end.
Oh wait, Charlie's Angels and Kill Bill--never mind.

Unbelievable animation work stringing that whole thing together. If this was a real fighting game it would be better than anything else out there. Could you imagine action like that online 2-on-2. Friggin' sick man.

You should check out some of his other works. Evidently he is an action chorography the more over the top the better. His work would be best in some epic Anime something along the lines of Robotech/Macross. His skills would totally go to waste in Hollywood. I actually can see him choreographing a dragon ball z movie or something along the lines like that.
As far as the guy getting laid, I do not think he has a problem since he has a few shorts with his woman and she looks hot (or he made her look hot)

The video was excellent. Even though I think DOA girls should rape FF girls with or without Tifa.
This guy got some talent. I would pay good money to see Dante vs Ryu Hayabusa. Now that would be sick.

Something I feel I should point out here is the fact that it's more or less a moot point to discuss how he got the models or even built them. CG animation, especially chorographed like that takes a long, long time, not to mention getting keeping track of all the action at once. If one guy did all this, then my hats off to him.

My balls are off to this guy. I just can't wrap my mind around how he was able to do all this. He must be a master storyboarder...and master of everything!! I wish he would get someone else to do his music though...and I want to see something OG from this guy. That would be incredible.
Oh and Cloud, Sephiroth, Sora, VS Dante, Vergil, and Nero please!!
That was straight out of Devil May Cry!!

I thought it was meh.
The character models look like they were all made by him, instead of copies, which is a shame, because they all seem off.
The choreography is about as good as those flash stick figure fights (e.g. xiaoxiao). The animation screams mediocrity in comparison to the haloid video.
