The point (which honestly doesn't warrant this much consideration) was that he was thought defeated, but came back for revenge. And hey, if they can bring Spock back... ;)

@phattie: That's because the majority of Pokemon console games are crapware. You're probably right about the other two though.

After waiting for so long to buy a PSP (more games, price, etc), I have to say that I'm glad in a way I did wait, but I also thought to myself, "Dang! This is a really sweet system!" and figured out why there were so many PSP fanboys.

I still think it's a matter of time before the PS3 becomes proven tech although I still question Sony's choice to have dedicated vram/system ram as opposed to a flex ram setup like the 360 has. I think that decision cripples the system over all. However, on the same note, it's still pretty good technology, maybe not as well thought out as the 360, but it is still a very capable machine that has an excellent media to run off of (bluray). I don't like the fact that they are pushing unwarranted tech (cell/bluray) but at the same time, for gaming purposes only, it's very good if they stop the intent of pushing it's tech to more in favor of utilizing the tech to bring us gamers an enjoyable and memorable gaming experience.

Now I know I tease you fanboys alot about Sony, etc (like my link the other day), but I do sincerely believe that all the systems are very capable of providing us with an awesome gaming experience in one shape, form or another.

Right now, I am just waiting for Sony to 'get the beer out' and start producing some excellent, gaming-history-worthy games that we can all agree that is worth owning the system for.

And lastly, is it just me or does anyone else notice that Nintendo and Sony seem to be trying to get more consoles out in NA and Europe then they are in there own homeland and Xbox is concentrating so much on Japan?

Because you generally want to improve the market which is weaker, and thus have greater growth potential.

The main problem I find with the PS3 is not it's lack of potential, but it's lack of improvement over the alternatives to justify it's higher cost. It's just that despite it's positive points, there's almost as many negative points to put it back on par with XBox 360, which has more games and developer experience.

Can't wait to see the rest of the world...

LOL the sony fanboys are truly the masters of bullshit...just head over to ps3fanboy.com and read about the "master plan" regarding the 40G...

The 360 will always be a better deal than the ps3...hands down.

At least its not forcing a media format on consumers.

You're using a LOT of assumptions (even if they're legitimate) in that line of thought.

1) Hardware-wise the PS3 is more capable than the XBox, period. Even if it's only because it can play Blu-ray discs.
2) "Forcing" a new format is about the only way to get customers to embrace a new format nowadays, given the way hardware gets entrenched into society.
3) Irregardless of the PR failures, considering it's lack of games and the 360 having a head start, it's not doing THAT bad. It's only the Wii which is doing exceptionally well, and a good portion of that reason could be directly linked to the "new markets" it has opened.

I don't see how my PS3 is forcing a new format on me. I have one BR movie ("300") and will probably pick up "Blade Runner" when it comes out, but that's about it. If HD-DVD wins out I will end up buying an HD-DVD player in the next few years.

For me, buying a PS3 was simple: I have a library of PS and PS2 games, I wanted to streamline my entertainment center from multiple boxes (PS2, DVD player) to one, I wanted a good upscaling DVD player, and I didn't want to spend more than $399. Sure, you might think I spent $599, but I didn't - I wanted for the 60B to come down in price and then I used the Sony Style and Sony Card $150 back deal to get the 60GB down to $349 (I know that not everyone can do that, no, but this is just my personal experience).

So, for me at least, the PS3 and the deal I got on it was great.
