it wouldn't be that bad if it didn't explicitly say "5 games included"...

or "These 5 games included", and it shows pictures of all 5 games...

That's ridiculous. Some of the ones they are including are so old at this point that it wouldn't have hurt anyone if they were free.

That's lame beyond lame. Way to fuck it up, Microsoft. Or should I say, way to pull a Sony.

Wtf. 5? It's not even worth putting on the disk. Chuck every demo to date on it maybe but even then, you should throw in some free games.

I got Hexic HD when i brought my 360, if there buying an "arcade" one surly they should get more.

Gsus, are you people to blind to read? Including you, Mr. editor.

It says on the Box: "This package includes a disc with games and demos rated PG-13+."

Which clearly means, five FULL version games AND five demos. Get your crap together.

I'm buying this as a replacement for my premium, just for the HDMI, it's not like I'll need to buy the hard drive and for £180 it's a steal considering people were paying £300 for the elite a while back.

I think it would have been a little clearer if Microsoft had listed the trial games on the box as well. The two links below are to Engadget pictures that show the five included games and suggest the five trial games.

I guess it's a decent collection of games, considering the intended audience.

It's E-E10+ btw, not PG13.

@ Zlionsfan...it tells you what the 5 games are but it doesn't tell you what the trials are.

Here's a better look at the game names quite clearly listed...this looked odd to me before when i saw it...

The included games are: Boom Boom Rocket, Feeding Frenzy, Luxor 2, Pac Man CE and UNO. The demos are separate.

The only crappy thing in here is the regular AV cable. Why not just include the combo component cable? It covers both standard AV and HD. Also I don't think I've ever seen a memory card in my entire life. If you can load game saves from both a HDD and a memory card at once it's worth it.

Oooh, that should be edited.

Anyway, I have it on good faith (or a memo in the Electronics booth) that the street date for the Xbox Arcade is Oct 23, and we already have two in the back room. They said we'd get fined penalized for selling it too early, but they didn't say keep it secret...

Regarding the whole trial/full version thing:

We're looking into it. The box does not make it clear at all. We'll update if they turn out to be full versions.

The clue is plus 5 trial games. Therefore the above mentioned arcardes are full, plus there are trials. But why can't the person who unboxed just tell us.

Why did they not include an ethernet cable and headset? They are obviously trying to get to the casual gamer by pushing XBLA. But why not include the two damn things you need for XBL? Seriously, those cheapass headsets probably cost .25 cents to make in China and the ethernet cables can't be much more. Lame move for a company trying to push the XBLA by leaving out what you need to connect to XBL.

Thinking is the key here, Mr. Mitchell. Why on earth would anyone advertise and sell a console with 5 games which AREN'T full versions?

And you call yourself fanboys? I really like the page, but that doesn't account for bad research.

News like this are not too good for the image, don't you think?

Echtzeit,

While I appreciate your concern for our website, there is nothing to research. Remember, as far as MS is concerned, the 360 Arcade doesn't exist. All we have are some photographs from Engadget. Like it or not, the text on the box is debatable. Engadget still claims the games included are demos, and they're the ones that broke the story.

I agree that it would be stupid to include 5 demos instead of full versions, but I wouldn't put it past Microsoft. After all, they sold the same package with no games at all before, so it could still be perceived as a value add.
