That Oblivion Game of the Year Edition needs to be mine! Sadly I will not have money to buy it until next week T_T

I hate it when the same game appears on everything from the 360 to the DS. The DS version will be nothing like the 360 version. Sometimes the DS version isn't even made by the same company as the console version. And if it's not the same game, it shouldn't have the same name.

Well, I'm sure we've given it to any other Katamari game at some point, so, in a way, Beautiful Katamari has already gotten that honor.

...

See, because they're all the same.

Yeah, after seeing Kotaku give Beautiful Katamari the post headline, I was a bit shocked to Joystiq focusing on Tony Hawk...you think all Katamari games are the same, but somehow Yet Another Tony Hawk game is worthy of singling out? Baffling.

I was kinda hoping for something better to take advantage of the Buy 2, get 1 free this week at Toys R Us. Oh well, looks like I'm going back to my previous list of Duck Amuck, Sonic Rush Adventure, and Jeanne D'Arc.

Also, Bleach for DS is fun as allllllll hell. God I love Treasure.

But they highlighted the hawkman so my point is moot.

How the hell didn't Disgaea not get the Featured Game this week? Is it because it's on a handheld?

It DID in fact not get the Featured Game this week. Sorry to be nitpicking, but us cat pictures on the internet have a bad enough reputation for grammar as it is. Also, yay Disgaea.

Proving Ground sucks. If anyone buys this game over Skate, they should have their right to play games revoked. After playing Skate for the past three weeks and then going back to Tony Hawk and playing the Proving Ground demo, it was an unbearable experience. First off all, graphically it looked like I was playing an XBOX game. Second of all, you are instantly reminded of how much better the gameplay in Skate is.

The controls on skate suck, whereas the Tony Hawk controls are still just like Dreamcast. Tony Hawk ftw!

the controls in skate are amazing. You must not be coordinated enough to figure them out.

That's fine I guess. There will always be Tony Hawk for the people that have more fun defying gravity by gaining speed while moving uphill, or defying the laws of friction by gaining speed when grinding on a rail. Gotta love those double back flips that you can do from flat ground in Tony Hawk. Ugh.

I was a huge Tony Hawk fan...until I played Skate.

yeah I think everyone who has played the proving ground demo will realize that its probably the worst tony hawk game yet. The weird gravity, the terrible dialogue, and "grab transfers". WTF is a grab transfer? Is that some crap that rodney mullen and bob burnquist concocted on their own time? what a bunch of goofballs.

The fact that it came out after Skate. only makes it worse.

Some people don't always want tons of realism in their games.

You know, video games, an escapist design meant to allow us to get away from our normal lives for a few minutes of fantasy where we get to be someone else?

Oh, wait. Sorry. Elitists. My bad.

demonGSides-

When you can bring proof that a realistic day in your life includes doing a 720 Mute Grab over a Mega Ramp in the X Games, or a 180 Inward Heelflip to FS Crooked Grind down a handrail, then I will take your comment seriously. Skate is still a 100% escape from reality for all of us. Only it's a much much better one than Tony Hawk. It's not even it's realism that makes it great compared to Tony Hawk, it's just better all around.

Quick question: Toys r Us do the price match thing? I want to boy Trauma Center Wii and DS version and get a free game, but in Gamestop Trauma Center Wii is at $29.99 and in Toys r US is at $49.99.

Or can I buy buy the game at Toys r Us at 49.99, pick my others two games, and then, return the 49.99 game?

It's going to be difficult for this game. Skate was a great experience and came out during a period where a game of it's stature could survive on the market. I have too many "AAA" titles to play in the upcoming months.

I have NO desire to play this game, and I LOVE (Loved) Tony Hawk Games. They jumped the shark with the Undergound series, and their hardcore audience is never coming back.

This should be Beautiful Katamari week, not tony hawk week. Tony hawk games lost their soul around pro skater 4, and Activision worked so hard to perfect the tony hawk games, then got destroyed by the first skateboarding game EA made.
