I always skim them. Make sure things are pretty standard, but every now and then one or two I'll read in full.

like most everything else with the PS3. Firmware 2.0 is looooong overdue.

PS3 is about to have it's first birthday not being able to interact with friends online from within games. a feature that's just about two years old now.

better be soon, and better be good.

Why do so many people hate EULAs? End User Licence Agreements are basically just a document which outlines basic use of an application. Most things the EULA covers are also legal bounds, it touches on things like copying, copyright and usage boundries.

Most EULAs are the same and basically just say "don't make coppies, don't re-distribute for money, extra licences required for multipul users" etc, and in reality, you should know this kind of stuff anyway. So the EULA doesn't affect you so long you don't try anything which is illegal or boarderline illegal with the application.

Doesn't mean you HAVE to read them, because if you've read one EULA, you've read 10,000 other EULAs. But I make it habit to read EULAs from Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, Sony and EA. Because they're bastards with their EULA and wording, so you can easily be in 'the shit' without even knowing it. Don't let that reflect badly on us nicer software devs, don't hate EULA... Just the companies who make shitty ones.
