the live points are retarded like that to make it more convienent to price things internationally. This way, they can change the $ to point ratio without ever having to change anything on the marketplace point cost wise. Something that costs 800 points here costs 800 points in europe, but the euro to point ratio is different. I think it all boils down to the ms camp being prententious and wanting their own currency.

And woot! For lumines dropping in cost, I've been waiting for this move to take the jump for a while.

PlayStation Network uses real currency. So, games might cost $9.99. And you pay $9.99 using your credit card.

PSN you only pay for what you buy:
IE: if a game cost 2$ you pay 2$

not like XBL where if a game cost 2$ you are FORCED to purchase 500points.

Nope, when I bought that birdie game (can't think of the name right now) on the PSN - the game cost $2.99 but the PSN made me deposit $5.00 so now I have $2.01 sitting there...

@bloo well thats weird because when i purchased the Motorstorm add-ons (1.99 or 2.99 i forget) it let me pay 2.99 only, Warhawk 39.99 only EverydayShooter 9.99 only everything ive purchased asked my for exactly the amount it cost.

Did you have anything in your wallet already? or did you add funds BEFORE trying to purchase it? (in which case it does increments of 5$ i believe)

This is like the best week ever. I'm perfectly satisfied with my $15 Lumines Live! purchase, and hopefully MS gets the hint of dropping some of the other XBLA titles prices permanently.

EEE and Lumines are two of the most unique and engaging games I've ever played. If you have a sense of style and a love for rhythmic orgiastic gameplay, check them out.

Isn't there going to be a PC version of this Speedball game or was that a separate project? I forget.

If Speedball II turns out to be good, it might convince me to get a 360. I have no time for console gaming, but this is hard to resist.

I wish there was a way to hook up an old Quickshot...
Used to go through about 5 per year on my Amiga.

i am mildly gutted about the lumines price drop since i forked out the full 1200 AND the cash for the vs mode and advanced skins, granted this was in december and i've played the heck out of the thing, but still ;_;
