I'm still pondering a Bungie Pro membership. I'm pretty sure I'll get it as soon as I need it.

Bungie got popular from Microsoft. Myth Never sold 500 Million , neither marathon , oni etc.

But as they've removed themselves from Microsoft's Blessings the performance and just over-all activity from Bungie has stopped.

Bungie broke my heart about leaving Microsoft, and they actually think their going to get money from Microsoft still. If Microsoft wanted to they could buy Bungie! Buy Nintendo. Buy Sony. And Buy Apple(lol).

Bungie made the wrong decision. They'll pay for it in the future.

Isaac...just voice lag?

I can't be the only one dealing with serious lag issues all the time. I have a hard time buying that the problem is on me when I never have the issue with other games.

PS...the PS3 ad rolling on the site right now made me LOL.

On the contrary, I think Bungie made the right decision. Maybe not quite related, but look back at all the studios that made decent games, only to become dissolved when they were fully purchased by a publisher or parent company... or they just got renamed and later their teams got shifted around into oblivion.

Halo 3 has amazing numbers at any given time (800,000 players online?! etc). I don't think anything has "stopped" if they know that Halo is still bringing in profits, income share and such a large community. On top of that, they've said that they are working on additional maps, etc etc (how else do you keep making money as a studio)? If anything they know the risk they are taking by going independent and that Halo is their breadwinner.

The most I've seen at a given time was 1.2 million online! Although Bungie.net constantly report around 1.4 million players on the weekends. That's insane how many people I can play with.

Seriously!!! Honestly the only times I play halo now is when the lag in TF gets too annoying...

Honestly, it's about time. This shouldn't have been an issue. They knew that they were going to sell a shit load of Halo 3. They should have been prepared.

And I shouldn't have to subscribe to Bungie Pro. I don't like that I only get 6 slots.

for all the money pumped into live with membership fees, i'm surprised the Halo 3 servers weren't massive behemoths in the first place.
while i definitely appreciate the updates they crank out, which i'm sure which is part of what the live fee pays for, but when you think about it, just what the hell are our membership fees used for besides lining MS's pockets?

I've never experienced any lag issues playing online, voice or gameplay wise. Actually that's a lie, when I'm doing some heavy dl'ing of torrents I get lag but that's a quick fix by stopping the download.
Maybe you just have crappy network settings dude. It's all about open NAT baby! Open NAT FTW!

I'm glad that they finally got an upgrade. I finished the game last week and it wasn't showing up on my service record. Just checked, and now it is.

Halo 3 is consuming my life!

We're not talking about in-game lag. This is about how long it takes to see the games, screenshots, etc to show up on your service record.

I don't know why people seem to have so much fun taking screenshots, saving films, etc in Halo 3. I envy them I guess, but after beating the game on legendary, getting to Captain etc, I just can't find any more fun to be had with Halo 3. For some reason, Halo 2's multiplayer holds a special place in my heart that Halo 3's just doesn't come near. Maybe it's that Halo 2 had much better multiplayer maps, I don't know.

Call of Duty 4 is more fun IMO, and that saddens me.

@ #19 you get more file space itself. So if you want to upload campaign vids only you definatly have the disk space now.

Are those REALLY the servers Bungie is using? I work on Compaq/HP Proliant servers daily, and just by seeing that, i can say those Compaq racks and servers are ANCIENT.

Ok, that can't be Bungies servers, To handle the type of load that 1.2Million user hammering on for days you would need a "Farm" of servers. That PIC also has 15 Xbox 360's Damn those are some hot 42U Racks. I wonder how many RROD's they got. (Red Rings Of Death)
