I've been saying this for months.

We got ours in February. We stopped using it in March. We really haven't touched it since.

The reality is Nintnedo doesn't care about this detractors, they are sitting right now in a vault like the one owned by Scrooge McDuck, thinking of buying Famitsu.

What is the current attach rate? For any platform to continue to attract developers, game sales are what matter -- not the estimated playtime per person.

And the world slowly remembers it's about the games, not the system... So far there has been a pretty lackluster release offering for the Wii. Don't get me wrong, MP:3, RE:4 were great, and Super Paper Mario and Marvel:Ultimate Alliance were definitely entertaining, but there hasn't been more great titles like the first two I mentioned. I feel like this will (hopefully) change as developers see the backlash of too many mini-games and start actually making some content for the system. Monster Hunter 3 is a step in the right direction, lets hope there's more of it.

Seriously, one, if nobody is playing the WII, why hasn't PS3 and Xbox 360 garnered more system sales from disgruntled owners? Second, the fact is the WII is not getting games nearly as good as Orange box until that changes(which it will) people will continue to complain.

What I find more disturbing, is that nobody wants to talk about the fact that even without games that interest people, consumers are still willing to pick up the WII rather than the PS3 and the Xbox 360. And thus my problem with gaming critics and mags, nobody is going to comment on the scary truth that none of the competitors are pulling any new market until it is too late and there is a slump in the console industry as a whole.

It is not that these systems are too expensive, just look at the Iphone. The thing is selling like hot cakes. Matter of fact, Apple in a whole is a good example. Apple products are expensive but people buy the products because they have a perceived high value. They have a lot of choices when it comes to other computers and PMP options but people still choose Apple because the value seems to be there and not somewhere else. This idea of value also includes the "it" factor, something Sony sold its products on for years, i.e based purely on the strength of the Sony brand name. There are agruably better phones out there than the $600 Iphone yet people lined up around the block to pay for one.

Nobody notices that people see Xbox 360 and PS3 as less of a value? That doesn't worry anybody that is the state of video game console industry? But hey as long as we are going against something popular, I guess it is ok. World Of Warcraft with dated graphics is able to be more recognizable, showing up in advertisements for Cars and other products toward college age and older individuals, than the PS3 and Xbox360, still nobody cares even though reports are saying the WII, the most popular next generation system, is selling no games. At which point do gaming critics, and such notice a problem in consoles, and address it?

I played my Wii just last night. Granted, I was playing Dynamite Headdy and some Animal Crossing, but what the hell... the Wii was still on.

You know, its almost like 75% of the Wii owners that answered this poll didn't pick up Metroid Prime.

i play with my Wii almost every day.

I found many a pornowebsite that uses flash to execute movies and its nice to look at porn in bed. Occasionally play some VC game, but take breaks from big games after I beat them normally.

Also forgot to add my casual gamer brother plays Wii once o soo a week. He has a life.
Many people who own a Wii have a life so its just one of many things they do. Just because my casual gamer brother plays every once in a while doesn't mean he hates his purchase.

I've only been playing Godfather on the Wii for the last few months when I can. I also have Twilight Princess and RE4. So far, that's what I've got. I'm still not sure if I'll get Metroid but I have managed played the first part up until you gain access to other planets. Not bad at all. It's a lot more interesting than the first game (not a big fan of the whole "isolation" feel that fans insist upon "otherwise it's not Metroid"). Definitely getting Mario Galaxy, Brawl, etc. No More Heroes is growing on me though I'm not sure yet 'cause I didn't like Killer 7. King Story looks great, Tales of Symphonia 2 is most likely a buy as I enjoyed the first, Final Fantasy CB looks to be more FF than FF:CC (not the PSP CC, the Cube CC), Resident Evil UC looks to be shaping up (not saying it'll be a huge deal, but I love the series, and this at least is more familiar than some other average arcade shooter), and Zack and Wiki looks good but not totally sold yet. Rygar I've never played so I might consider it though I hope they fix areas like the voice acting (saw a scene in Extended Play with Rygar falling and the Princess calling out to him as she got carried off - what a turn off). I'm also considering BWii, and Fire Emblem is even more likely. The rest of the first-party games don't interest me (and yes, not a big Mario Kart fan).

Third-parties really do need to step up though. I would love some Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill from Konami for a change. Not saying it should be MGS4, but some parallel story lines (i.e. Philanthropy based storyline) but with similar characters and not like those AC!D games. It would be canon but more like RE4's Separate Ways (i.e. elements that may have been hinted in the main games). Konami hasn't shown me anything of interest for the Wii outside of that rumored Snatcher game.

i have Wii, DS, PS3, and PSP. as of late, my PS3 is the only thing getting any action (Everyday Shooter). i did dust off Animal Crossing the other and weeded my town on DS. other than that, i use my PSP everyday as my music player (4GB memory stick) but havent bought a game for it in god knows how long, and i use my PS3 for DVDs every night since it upscales. i may have hit up the Everybody Votes channel maybe once in the past month and then that update, but it is basically collecting dust. after Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario there is nothing that appeals to me until Galaxy and SSBB (rented Metriod, not really my cup of tea).

Been there before! Done that before! This system isn't going anywhere. Wake up people, don't waste your money on the second coming of the Gamecube at a steeper price. Buy your kid a portable for Christmas. Then buy yourself a real machine. 360 Elite. But if you insist on a Sony system, take your kids PSP instead.

I'm waiting for something good to come out and I think it's gonna be the new Medal of Honor Heroes 2 I love the arcade aspect of the game. I think that's a good direction only the wii can acheive without having to buy another peripheral for the system.
For example the new Time crysis for the ps3 altho I think the new Guncon comes bundled with that game.

Anyway Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is supposed to have 32 player online. Which is another reason the wii just sits there and never gets played. There's no Online. Online is so easy to pick up and play. I like fast action with interation with other players.
They need a Wii Mario Cart that doesnt use those stupid Friend codes that'd be cool

Crono-NDF- Biggest Nintendo Fanboy wrote "Nintendo lost its spot as top dog on the N64 almost exclusively to back up their "Seal of Quality". Then they got a crapton of flack during GC era because they weren't nice enough to 3rd parties. Now that they've got the 3rd parties back by doing away with their stringent quality program, you get pissed when nothing but shovelware comes out for it.

Make up your freaking minds people.

I have made up my mind. I don't give a crap who sells the most consoles. I want the old Nintendo back that makes awesome first party games and does not publish all this shovelware! Nintendo was number one in the 8 bit and 16 bit era and they made a few awesome AAA 1st party titles each year while they had some decent 3rd party games. It was Nintendo not wanting to do away with the trusty and COSTLY cartridge that did them in the most. Their anal ways where just the icing on 3rd part developers going astray!

Now that their system is a surprise success they are cashing in with all this crap software. I buy almost everyone of Nintendo's 1st party games, but they are few and far between. So with all this shovelware coming out is it any wonder why the system gets played so little? Regardless, as long as Nintendo makes systems I will buy them and their first party games!

Weird my wii gets plenty of use. I guess maybe because I dont have a 360. I have almost finished Zelda, then I've got a long line of games to play: Metriod, Call of Duty 3, still playing Madden, Guitar Hero 3 (next week), Mario & Sonic, Mario. I think I'm good for a while

NTDOY.PK is making me money though.

its not like i dont WANT to be playing my wii, there just isnt anything worth playing on it yet. Had europe not had to wait so long for friggn launch titles that story may have been different, but tbh by the time we got games i'd previously been interested in i just didnt care anymore.

It doesnt help that even first party titles have been recalled for having bugs or just being 'offensive'. I've been interested in super paper mario since 2006 but after hearing from across the pond for months that it sucks, and finding out it has a massive glitch which will screw up your game, i'd rather keep my £30. Oh yeah, wii games arent exactly cheap, even preowned -_-.

Well, I've already been convinced by EGM that the Wii might become a failure oy. One of these articles was called "Wii Crap" and complained about the lack of quality games on the console and the DS. You might also be able to find it on 1up.com. Nintendo really needs to snap out of this quality problem, oy.

You Sony and Microsoft fanboys need to give it a rest. I play my Wii everyday as do the majority of Wii owners that I know of. If no one was playing the Wii then why is it the number one selling console? Get over it, yeah you may have the better graphics but Wii owners are having more FUN!
