Peter Moore talks about EA, waxes poetic
Gametrailers has a pair of video interviews with Peter Moore in his new role as head of EA Sports. Watching these vids remind of exactly why we're going to miss him so much at Microsoft. However, it also gives us hope that EA will stop doing things like releasing mega-buggy versions of Madden upon unsuspecting masses. Or somewhat suspecting masses, at this point.
Anyhow, check out both parts of the video after the jump. It's worth it just for the eye-rolling from Moore when the interviewer calls him a "hero" to all the young gamers out there. He has a great view of the console war from both the publisher and manufacturer sides of the table, and near the end of part two, he talks about what's in store for the future at EA Sports. Namely, looking beyond only the North American market ... so expect more FIFA to come down the pipeline. And hopefully Scottish Caber Toss Challenge '09.

You know you can call Microsoft and get points so that you can buy your arcade games again.
FOXHOUND @ Oct 16th 2007 3:40PM
No offense, but that's a seriously devilish look he has.
NaeemTHM @ Oct 16th 2007 3:43PM

i was just about to comment that.
He really looks evil, but not the "i'm going to kill you " evil, but more of a "I'm devious" evil.

I hope you guys realize that Microsoft has secrectly partnered with EA.
Which is why Peter Moore has jump shifted so easily over to EA along with oter close 1st party development teams from 360.
You're looking at the new EA/Microsoft.
It's happened in the past, Sony and Sega of America partnered in the early 90s on games.
Square and Sony did it in the late 90s.
daddycool @ Oct 16th 2007 3:45PM
Good. Then let two American companies do the same as the Japanese.
That's not true though. None of it...
NATO_Duke @ Oct 16th 2007 3:53PM
Uh, what? He jumpped so easy because EA offered a lot of money. Are you trying to hint that you think EA is going to be more exclusive to the 360 - cause that just wont happen.
Grant @ Oct 16th 2007 4:36PM
World Domination doesn't come all at once you know.
Zarim @ Oct 16th 2007 4:01PM
I'm just really hoping EA doesn't ruin Bioware, it's not like EA sports has done anything new in the last 10 years anyway.
qwerter @ Oct 16th 2007 4:08PM
haha he has braces
Grant @ Oct 16th 2007 4:38PM
I was going to say the same thing about your mom....

Gametrailers is usually really good... what's with the garbage guitar music in the background? why is this necessary?
Mr Slavio @ Oct 16th 2007 4:58PM
I seriously hate that phrase: wax poetic. To people that use it and think they're smart for doing so: Congratulations, you are a douchebag.
Dirtyboy @ Oct 16th 2007 5:05PM
Pretty sad playing The Simpsons demo and seeing EA plastered all over everything.
Andy S. @ Oct 16th 2007 5:21PM
Egad. Didn't anyone tell him that the "take a gander at the underside of my balls" pose is a big no-no in a PR photo? Put the leg down, Pete. Christ.
HaemishM @ Oct 16th 2007 5:35PM
If Peter Moore really wants to do something to grow EA Sports as a brand, he needs to go pistol whip the teams doing games for the Wii. The Madden 08 and FIFA 08 releases for the Wii have been buggy, shovelware nightmares that not only won't attract casual gamers, they piss off the people who are/were fans of the franchises.
Slvrgun @ Oct 16th 2007 10:42PM
What more can you expect out of the title? You think you're going to be leaps and bounds better than what is basically a PS2 game with motion controls? I mean the only thing great about the game is playing on offense, and that's just real talk. Beyond that it just is what it is and I can't really see the Wii Version being vastly improved. And yes I have a Wii.

He's going to have to work awful hard before I ever buy an EA game again.
Angel of D4rkness @ Oct 17th 2007 1:41PM
Interesting, when he commented about core/hardcore gamers being miffed at the refocus on casual gaming, none of the example "hardcore" games he mentioned were from EA! What about Army of Two, Battlefield: Bad Company, etc?
He's usually pretty slick at staying on message, he probably had a flashback to his MicroSoft days.
