Play Team Fortress 2 with Valve this Friday

We've been unapologetic about our love for The Orange Box, so we have to admit to being a little conflicted about an event this Friday that will allow you to play some Team Fortress 2 against the Valve team on Xbox Live. Sure, it would be neat to have a chat with them, but when we're staring down the barrel of a chain gun at someone who's brought us so much joy, we're not convinced we'll be able to pull the trigger.

The event kicks off on Friday at 6 p.m. EDT, and we've provided a full list of gamer tags after the break if you want to take part. Just do us a favor, OK? If you see someone firing a gun into the air and screaming Point Break-style, just go ahead and ignore us, alright? We'll pull through.

It's a shame it's on Live because it's so laggy. I can rarely stay connected to a game.

I pray it's patched by Friday.

Chaingun? My experience with TF2 (on the PC) has been that 90% of the players are either Spy or Sniper. What is this chaingun you speak of?

Personally, I like to play as the Engineer and Demoman. And I don't just stand around and whore my turret, I build teleporters and healing stations for my teammates in spots where I think they will be the most helpful.

As the Demoman, I just like to blow things up. I also occasionally like taking out Snipers with the Soldier.

Oh I get it, firing into the air because you can't kill someone you have a bond with. Yeah...that's a good excuse for poor playing! Oh I kid!

How does this work? Are we all supposed to send these guys friend requests now?

Actually I play soldier and I see a hell of a lot of people play heavy. Damn those scout rushes though. Matter of fact my friend is king with heavy not even a joke. But yeah I would like to play against value, I have a PC version though. Still I would like to get in on the carnage.

I play as a Soldier 90% of the time. Otherwise I'm, a Medic. But yea, I need to agree with everyone else, the PC players need some lovin' too.

That's really cool of VALVe. And DAMN I wish they would open this up for PC Gamers! I'd love to tear them a structurally superflous behind...

I hope they don't play in matches with more than 8 people in.

I wonder if Valve devs are any good at spotting spies, or if they're gonna end up with a LOT of butterfly knives in their spines?

Well Newell apparently won't be getting in on this, but if you listened to the Dev. Commentary, Newell said his favorite class is the Spy. I'm sure the rest of the devs had to learn to spot him out or risk getting Backstabbed.

I sent friend requests to the entire list, but the first gt doesn't seem to exist...

is this after they apply the lag-reducing patch?

The real question is... Does Gabe fit through Portals?
