If you're a Sega fan, Gametap is much better than Virtual Console, since it already has virtually all the Genesis games and a lot of Master System games as well. But of course it doesn't have any Turbografx games (everybody always forgets those). Plus I still just haven't gotten used to playing console games on PC.

I can't say enough how awesome this service is. And it keeps getting better. I have an older system, but I can still run most games on the service (maybe not Jericho). But for only 9.95 every month? And on top of that, the media content is pretty good - you can watch most of the Sam & Max Saturday morning cartoons and a host of other shows along with original content. Why wouldn't you get this service? There's enough games to keep people busy for years already. I just hope they put out more old school adventure games - too bad LucasArts won't give their rights away...

I just wish it had a better interface. It's easier for me to pirate most of these games than it is to play them through the GameTap service.

Have they revamped their interface yet? Or given the option for just a straight text menu driven interface? I tried it, and I hated that spinning, pseudo 3D crap.

Yeah, GameTap updated the client and I heard they are planning a much bigger revamp with a much better interface soon. CAG posted that they have a 60 dollar a year plan that could be limited so I jumped and playing Mark of the Wolves online is definitely worth 5 bucks a month.
