This is a great deal for someone like me. I want to have a 360 at home and one at work. If I buy the Arcade version for work all I will have to do is carry my hard drive and games with me. This is perfect.

They let you play with your 360 at work? Superawesome.

This is pretty good. At least MS didn't fuck this up by putting demos on this system. That would've been a major screw-up. Also, the HDMI, Wireless controller and 256mb memory card add to the overall value of the package. Here's a hint: drop it down to $250 and market the shit out of it this holiday. MILFs would be in the position to really choose between the 360 or the Wii for the same amount of money.

I agree with you there. This should be pretty good as a second 360, especially when you consider the RRoD can strike at any time, so this new Arcade pack should serve as a backup.

Wow, this is a good deal! I think I am gonna talk my in-laws to get this for their girls (they want Guitar Hero). Very aggressive pricing by MS to compete with the Wii.

People talking about the HDD add-on down the road: It's very possible MS will drop the price of that add-on this X-mas. If they drop it to $79, for an "optional" upgrade piece, that would be a pretty good price if you don't NEED a HDD from the get-go. I think MS is doing so well with pricing and models this gen. Kudos to them!

Yeah. It's a great pricing model. $279 + $99 for an HDD + $35 for a component cable or optical audio out.

They end up getting $403 from you (more if you want Wi-Fi, less if you have an HDMI audio/video switching amp) when you could have paid $349.

Except Guitar Hero is also going to be on Wii, except it also has force feedback and audio emitting from the actual guitar.

But I will admit it sounds nice!

This seems like a great holiday deal to me. Any smart kid will ask for the console from Santy Claus or whomever, and then ask for a hard drive from someone else not knowing what to get them.

The only people who don't think this is a good deal are the ones who still feel jilted for paying $600 for their PS3.

All those sports figures jamming in midair on the box cover... Is Microsoft telling us to go do those things, or sit on our fat asses at home playing games?

*confused*
