You need component cables to take advantage of the TV out capabilities of the new PSP-2000. So, why not get the cables for cheap? MonoPrice, a specialty retailer, is somehow selling these babies at under $10, before shipping. Of course, for the best deal, you'll want to order 50 ...
Remember: component cables will only work on EDTV/HDTV systems. Regular TVs can not display game content.

The cables will still work with a regular television as long as you have the inputs on your TV, but it still won't display game content. It does deliver better quality picture though.

I'm hardpressed to tell you guys to be wary, since this deal's a 1-day only dealie, but people are bootlegging these cables now. Just a heads-up of sorts. >_>

I ordered this and so far it hasn't worked for me yet. The signal is scrambled on my 1080p rear projection LCD display. It's also capable of the signal it requires (480p/480i/720p etc.) but the signal is still scrambled. I'm attempting to try it on a different display to see if it's my TV.

The cables work fine on SDTV, just not for games, as was perviously noted.
Furthermore, why is EDTV or HTDV not 'regular'? Does regular mean old standard? Did B&W TV owners refer to their sets as 'regular' when color came out? Are TV sets these days with the old curved glass screens referred to a 'regular' instead of 'flatscreen'?

@ Marco Cano Jr
I purchased these from monoprice.com (Which I am happy to do business with, great place for cables) However, I haven't got it to work yet. I have a tube TV (Sony WEGA) and it did not work there either let alone my HDTV (Sony SXRD Rear Projection LCD). I'm still going to test on other TVs to make sure it really is the cable. Then I'll see how monoprice will handle the situation. So just a warning to fellow fanboys, but let me know if you guys got these specific cables to work. I really want them to work as I was always pleased with monoprice's products.

Eh, finally picked up a PSP for Drac x chronicles, mainly. Fits right along side my DS in its little aluminum briefcase thing (yeah, I own both, so what?). Now I have to go pick up all the parts they don't include with the system. I guess I should have known from all my other Sony products that I wouldn't be able to save until I picked up additional accessories *rolleyes* oh well. Gotta pick up a card and usb cable. I think I'll skip this component cable though, I rather dig this gigantic screen.
