Wait did he just not make any mention of going 2D to 3D? That was probably the most amazing thing about it after the humor of it all. I guess he says "platforming" but the whole idea really got me.

didnt you only have to get like 1000 or so of those coins from that machine running around and then you just talked to a buncha locked up idiots who gave you the code to vault which contained 1,000,000 coins?

I always look forward to a review from Yahtzee.

Hilarious as usual. I wish he'd do this stuff more than once a week.

I stopped when he pronounced Mar-i-o as Mare-i-o. If you can't pronounce it like the character did 11 years ago, you don't deserve to review it, satirical view or not.

That is the BEST description of Earthbound I've ever said.

And he's right, Earthbound's easily one of the greatest RPGs ever made.

He's sort of an annoying, cynical, dick, but he's usually pretty right when it comes to games.

Hahaha! ...wait, what?

But no, really, all of you who find him annoying, and anyone offended by his negative review of Super Paper Mario... get over it. :) I don't agree with his general opinion on RPGs, or on Super Paper Mario, or even on the Wii, but if you can grow up and ignore the difference of opinion, you gotta realize that was so freaking hilarious. Okay, I didn't catch a lot of things he said because he was talking so fast, so I'm left with a mixed feeling of amusement and confusion.

And #5, he pronounced Mario like that because of his Australian accent. Don't judge, those of us with accents have trouble pronouncing certain words correctly, but we do realize how it's pronounced. It sounds right in our head, it's an unconcious thing.

#3, yes, you only have to get about 1000 of them, but it takes at least six minutes. I just kept my thumb on the D-pad and watched something else on the TV...

#10, actually, that's a British accent, not an Aussie one. I'm a transplanted Brit, and I understand it's hard for Americans to tell them apart. I can only just tell a Canadian accent apart from a generic American one after seven years living in the US! Yahtzee is a transplanted Brit too, but he went 9,000 miles southeast instead of 3,000 miles west. And he said 'Mario' exactly as I would.

Shadow, I never said I didn't agree with the review, in fact I actually do agree with it along with his halo 3 review. That doesn't mean he's not annoying.

Agree with him or not (i really didn't, i loved me some Super Paper Mario, only the 5th & 6th worlds seemed really forced, everything else was brilliance in a box) it was a hilarious review

oh, and EarthBound ftw

The people who dislike him are people who have played a game he has reviewed. The people who love him either haven't played the games or have a decent sense of humour about it.

I've played some of the games he has mentioned (eg wow, bioshock, peggle, tomb raider, random others I can't recall) but I have the balls to acknowledge the shortcomings of the games I've played even if I loved them. It's healthy to want no flaws in a game and to be able to point them out.

He does that while delivering the lulz, and all the better for it.
