AstroZombie --- LOL, no worries... the reply system on this site is a bit off at times. Especially if the browser page refreshes after adding comment or doesn't pick up the click on replying to a previous post.

Anyway, given the time of your post, it's possible you didn't see the 1:22PM comment I made... but in my "defense", I do like the society deemed "light-hearted" games too... such as the aformentioned NiGHTS, which was one of two reasons I dumped money into that SEGA Saturn paper-weight. XD I own similar games, such as WARIOWARE, EXCITETRUCK, TIGER WOODS 08, and even SONIC. I won't bother listing all the VC games I've downloaded, but you get the idea.

Sorry the posts came off to you the way you described; but let's face it... Nintendo has advertised, displayed, promoted, published for, and even designed the Wii to be the system of choice for everyone financially and functionally. The interface is simple and direct, to which Nintendo has flat-out said "this is a gaming machine"; and not the multimedia device & functionality competition that Microsoft & SONY are competitively engaged in.

However, the other two(MS/SONY)"claim" they are gaming machines, but given their control schemes, hard/software configurations, and game advertisements... it's plain to see otherwise. Both are looking not just at the gaming crowd, but movie-watchers & high definition home entertainment systems. With PS3, the high definition player is right out of the box, with a multitude of various functions and connectivity... and with X360, it's got the best online achievement system, downloads & gameplay available - shy of having an actual internet browser.

Anyway, to conclude... it's a matter of taste. "A game's a game, and the point of which is to entertain." The moment these companies fail to realize that, they fail to earn our hard earn dollars. And the sales figures obviously have pointed that out.

You're correct, I didn't see your other post before I made my response (twice). I guess you pretty much summed everything up, and you sound like one of the good guys, so you get to live... this time.

Listen to me Nintendo,i got the answer. What the Wii needs, is a game that gives it RESPECT. The respect the 360 got from Gears and Halo. The answer lies within Lucasarts...Since the very beginning, the true meaning for the wiimote is holding a lightsaber in your hand. Partner up with Lucas. He is the answer. The upcoming Force unleashed is a step, but not the true answer. You got the money. You got the online. You got Retro studios. throw in some million bucks, push the Wii's power to the very limit and make a Star Wars FPS now!! Imagine Halo 3 but only a million times more epic and a million times more fun (if thats actually possible). Just imagine that game. I want that game. Imagine decapitating a Sith from a distance with a saber-throw. or killing a rival Jedi sending him to his doom into an abiss with a force-push. theres everything you need, thermal detonators, blasters, vehicles, different lightsabers and styles, creating your own Jedi or Sith or even bounty hunter....THAT is the real purpose this machine was built for. Stupid Lucas cmon what the hell are you waiting for? and Nintendo put that goddamn $ into some use,and for crying out loud MAKE A GODDAMN HEADSET!!!
