Of course they need to trim some fat since it takes 4 EA employees to do the work of 1 Bioware employee...

So they're not suppose to grow and grow? Not all their games are crap, some may even be really good. EA got too big for it's ego, and maybe a little to unrealistic. For what its worth alot of companys commit the same sin, expanding faster than their real market place. Still, quite a raw deal for all those designers.

Routine: something that is unvarying or/and boringly repetitive.

The word routine should be permanently attracted to “EA”.

Things like this arent isolated to just EA, EA is just the only company that announces it so people dont think they are trying to hide something. For you people who have never worked a day in the industry, your all just misinformed people making snap judgements with no data to back it up.

All game teams ramp up to get a product out the door, then when its done alot of the lower ranked people will get cut if there are no other projects for them to transfer to.
