The big games left for 2007

To the UT3 versus Crysis arguement: Hashbrown_Hunter is dead on. UT3 has the GoW-esque art style to it, which i'm personally not entirely won over by, but its certainly a far more stylish game. Crysis just has that rediculous realism to it.

Also i'm looking forward to assasins creed after seeing a few gameplay walkthroughs. While it still seems to have its issues (only one guy attacks you at a time), and its certain to have its obvious gameplay flaws because of how different the gameplay is (i wager you can do the entire game just by running away 1 foot in front of the massive army of guards behind you...seriously...i bet its doable), that game still looks really polished in its animation and style and i'm actually looking forward to it...despite having argued for the past year to my friends that it just looks like thief 3 + melee + HDTV.

Oh well, should be a pretty good end to the year, but mostly my PC is getting the attention tbh. I've given up on console gaming a little bit since i just sold my PS3 (worst purchase i ever made) and my 360 just popped a RROD >.

Anyone have any idea when the next set of graphics cards come out? My 7900gt isn't cutting it with the crysis. Works surprisingly well with bioshock/ut3 though.

I was thinking that if the DS (it has) has power similar to the N64, how could AC maintain its level of the interaction that the game plans to have on the other consoles, while maintaining a decent graphic level.

Right, no one really cares about a console to pc port, I personally dont even know why they would even bother.

I understand they're niche releases, but I've been waiting ALL year for Disgaea and Castlevania PSP and they're finally here! HELL YES.

For PC Users Crysis is a huge game.

I totally agree with mfed3 Heavenly Sword is not a big boy, its a friggin joke, you cant even jump and its a fighting game, lest I forget to mention the fact it looks like a PS2 game with high AA.

Not all have been released yet, and I'm still a lil doubtful about Army of Two, but you never know it might be amazing.

The PS3 is a joke, maybe next year it might be able to compete. And, for you guys who imagine Assassins Creed to be an amazing game, wait til it comes out, I've seen the screens and it might be a game you should rent for a week, but it might not be a must own title. Still I have my hopes up for it. Too Human is starting to look really good.

Also, only the PS3 will get UT3 in 2007. 360 owners will have to wait until after xmas.

The PS3's got a really good lineup, looking at that. 4 exclusives, and they're all really good (incl UT3, timed exclusive). The 360 only has 1.

Not bad for a console only coming up to it's first birthday, is it? The final 4 aren't released yet, but if you can include GTA IV, I can include the games released between now and GTA IV. FF13 may be released shortly after GTA, it's hard to say.

I didnt add PGR4 on there. As for your comments about your lame PS3, have you actually looked at the games your saying own, and how good the PS3 is? On 720p Heavenly Sword looks like crap, I saw the game, its look like shit, maybe it looks good on 1080i, but on 720p it looks horrible, so ya I'm not entirely accurate, but seeing as I play on a 720p monitor, I just thought the graphics werent that amazing looking (this is also true of Halo 3 on 720p though). After seeing what Too Human will look like on 720p, Heavenly Sword is not all that glamourous. The fact you cant jump is hilarious on Heavenly Sword, I mean I can even jump on Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I just find it funny that people say buy a PS3 it has Heavenly Sword, well buy a 360 it has Halo 3, BioShock, and Gears of War. Of course you can get Oblivion and GRAW 2 on the PS3, but its also on 360.

When your PS3 dies from Blu-ray failure from watching too many Blu-rays like the PS2, how happy are you going to be?

I wouldnt doubt if Army of Two was delayed because of the PS3, as it was pretty much in peoples hands.

My must own games are all must own titles, as in you play them and they are all awesome games, worth your money, every last cent.

As for UT3 being delayed for 360 I didnt even know that, shouldnt the PS3 version be delayed instead considering its a bigger pain in the ass to develope for. Also, some games are waiting to be released cus they would get slaughtered with Mass Effect, and CoD 4 coming out, most 360 gamers I know buy about 1 game a month.

HAZE and DiRT look okay, I wouldnt say must own title, same thing with motorstorm, at the E show apparently the AI for Killzone was horrible, and Resistance Fall of Man is supposed to be good, Killzones AI will probably be better when its released. If you like Gamespot look at how they rate the PS3 games compared to the 360, you might notice the 360 games usually score a lot higher, could be biased, or it could just be the 360 is better.

Personally I think in a year from now there will be no argument on which system has the best games, the platform experience however will become the new debate, and currently the 360 is still winning there. :p
